Ordered the 2 meat plate with smoke Turkey and burnt ends, as they were out of sliced brisket. I was charged an extra $2.79 for the world’s worst burnt ends, they tasted like a rubber, cardboard combination covered in salty bbq sauce and that’s being generous. The turkey was, at best, ok. I had the brisket beans and Serrano corn bread for my 2 sides, neither one of them were worth writing home about. Definitely, would not recommend and will not be returning.Edit: I went to H-E-B, after work in Georgetown, TX to get my refund, only for them to inform me they could not give me a refund without a receipt. I was told if I went to an H-E-B with a Texas BBQ they would be able to refund my order. So I obliged and went to the closest H-E-B with a True Texas BBQ (store 781) only for the store to tell me they couldn’t refund me either. Wasted my time and money driving to these stores and they didn’t even try to remedy the situation; awful customer service. I guess the jokes on me haha thanks for the run around H-E-B.

The brisket itself is very tasty. The sides are overpriced and not worth it. We ordered 8 large sides- 2 mac and cheese, 2 potato salad, 2 Cole slaw and 2 beans. It was such a waste because we only finished the slaw. The Mac and cheese was so dry and seemed old- not creamy at all and the flavor was just off. The potato salad was okay but not for that price. The beans tasted like they had gone bad.
True Texas is one of our favorite BBQ spots and we've tried alot! We love them so much we got them to cater our wedding last weekend. They did a phenomenal job! Lilly was great at assisting us with the whole process and the staff was very professional. Our guests loved our dinner! It was absolutely delicious!

Food is out of this world ?! The place is beautiful and outdoor seating has heaters. Service is lacking - have encountered unfriendliness here on more than one occasion. Would expect that at somewhere like Taco Bell, not at HEB.
I ordered a 3 meat plate with 3 sides...collard greens, potato salad and brisket beans...the sides are horrible. The potato salad needs revamping. The greens had too much salt, and the brisket beans seem gritty and no flavor. The sausage was just plain. The brisket and ribs were decent. Just disappointed that I spent $30 for food that is nasty. I'd like a refund if possible.

I was really looking forward to the banana pudding, which I haven't had in ages. Within the first few bites, I had some type of meat in my mouth. I'm assuming it was brisket but I don't really eat meat like that. Why in the world was there meat in my pudding?? Absolutely disgusted!
