Great food! We've eaten mostly everything they offer on their menu and food is always prepared well and delicious. I love the mac and cheese and greens. Sometimes we don't feel like eating meat and still come here and order a whole bunch of sides.Their brisket is my favorite. A BBQ place next to a grocery store? Sounds pretty cool! Had a good experience at True Texas BBQ. They have indoor and outdoor seating and live music is available too which makes the experience so much better. I got the two meat plate. I usually get regular brisket but feel like it can be a little dry, I decided to switch it up and try the chopped brisket and I actually really enjoyed it! Stopped here while at HEB to get dinner to take home. First time here. Got 1/2 pound of the Lwan Brisket 1/2 pound of the Turkey, Cole Slaw and cream corn for sides along with peach cobbler and a banana pudding. Overall everything was good, nothing really would me. It was good BBQ, but not outstanding.
