Velvet Taco offers a great variety of tacos that are pretty good. Customers enjoyed meals like elote with guac and tacos #2, 3, 11.5, and 26. The food is normally very good, with tacos stuffed full of fresh ingredients that are quite tasty and near perfect. Highlights include the blue corn chips and guacamole, which were praised for being crisp, fresh, and flavorful. The Mexi-Cali Shrimp Taco was a fan favorite. The Rotisserie Chicken Bowl was described as fantastic, fresh, colorful, and bursting with flavor.
Recently, the atmosphere was quieter, with some changes since the last visit but still maintaining that cool, laid-back vibe. Customers also appreciated great food service and restaurant. However, a visit was impacted by a manager on duty who was very very rude to an employee in front of customers. The food quality and variety, at similar prices to more authentic taco joints, make it a place worth returning to, though one complaint is to get fresher tortillas. Overall, Velvet Taco continues to deliver good food and a memorable dining experience.
