Made the 65 mile trek to try out GW BBQ. We are always on the BBQ hunt in Texas. GW BBQ is, by far, the absolute best we've had. Ordered and tasted every meat and side and everything was top shelf! Brisket was perfectly seasoned and tender. Ribs were fall off the bone tender. Sausage and turkey were perect in their flavors and moisture. All the sides are home made in-house, even the pickles. The host, David, was exceptional in caring for the customers and the staff was spot on for customer service.Kid-friendliness: Great family dine in restaurant.

This place looks like a nice place. Be aware that bbq sells out pretty much by 11am or 12 except the chicken. The reason why I'm posting this low review is because we were there around 2pm and were told that there was only chicken but had to take it to go even though it was not even 2:30pm.

Simply amazing! You gotta try everything. The pork belly and corn bread are out of this world. Free beer on Saturday and Sunday. I'd put this bbq joint against any other bbq joint in Texas.

I found this place last year on TikTok when I'm the valley area it's a place we have to stop and eat here. The food is always awesome, and mac and cheese green beans are the best.but no baked potatoes.

I'll start off with saying that they have some great brisket and probably the best turkey I have tried in the RGV. They are a little expensive at $32/lb for the brisket, so it's probably going to be a rare treat to make the trip here from Edinburg. It's definitely good though. The bark is tasty and it's not overly smokey, with the fatty pieces just melting in your mouth. Everything is served with fixings of your choice and white potato bread. The green beans were so good, that they were a huge surprise! Definitely looking forward to coming back to try the chicken fried brisket!!The service was friendly and attentive. They quickly let me know that their kitchen was closed and what meats were still available before I started craving anything not available.I did have a small issue with the final bill when I noticed I was charged incorrectly for brisket. The owner or manager (George) was very communicative with me and explained it was done in error and offered to give me a refund for the mistake which I declined. Errors happen.FYI, this business now charges a 4% fee on your total if you use a credit card.

Best BBQ in the Valley! My chopped brisket burger was phenomenal and the cream corn was perfection. My husband’s 1/2 chicken plate was topped off with free beer…yes! Great Sunday lunch spot!! The service was also fantastic! Clean and speedy service made this a perfect place to relax with great food and drinks!

Awesome, professional service by the staff. Great brisket, as always.
The food is delicious. I love that the BBQ is not fully covered in pepper like alot of the other bbq places. Everything is juicy and delicious. Try the honey cornbread. The most moist and delicious cornbread I've ever tasted and the service is amazing. I do not have one complaint about this place.
