Star-Lite Fried Chicken

Food was good, service was amazing, I went thru the drive thru, needs help...

I drove from Weslaco to San Juan for the chicken gizzards that starlight is known for. I looked at the menu and saw that they had fish. I didn't wanna stray too much from my diet so I decided to get the fish and one piece of chicken gizzard for the sake of the cravings. I bit into the gizzard first and I was so glad that I didn't order the full meal 'cause it was extremely salty. When I took a piece of the fish out, it was hard to even take one bite because it was like 3 inches thick and salty. It was the most horrible meal. So disappointed.

Still one of the best fried chicken joints in the Valley. Very crispy without being oily. Great seasoning. Very reasonable prices for huge pieces. Their fried shrimp are very large and very tasty. You can swap the fries for onion rings.

My girls like it and they are very picky eaters so I’m happy about that. Only bad thing is that the drivethru takes long and confusing in the parking.

Stopped by today and the food was delicious. they have a variety of items to choose from. we had the chicken plate and cheeseburger combo. If yall haven't tried it, stop by, you won't regret it.

I order the mini burgers and fried chicken. Can't go wrong with the mini burgers, delishious. Chicken is good, prefer the dark meat. The weight meat is a bit dry, but good. Their burritos are good as well, takes me back to when I was in school.

I would only recommend the burgers . Everything else didn’t even have a morsel of salt . Onion rings were too greasy . Fries bland. Corn dog was just a boiled weenie with batter . Fried chicken was juicy but AGAIN bland , But the burgers were definitely 10/10
