Taqueria La Herradura San Juan

I wanted to share my experience at Taqueria Herradura in San Juan.

I ordered two tortas and potatoes. One torta was supposed to be bistec with no tomato, and the other was a mixed-meat torta that included tripa. I was charged correctly for everything, including the tripa, but when I got home and checked my order, the tripa was missing from the mixed torta.

I called the restaurant and explained the situation. I even sent a picture of the torta showing that the tripa was not included. However, they refused to give me credit or replace the missing item because I only had a picture of one torta and not both. Manager Jorge ultimately denied my request for credit on the product that I paid for but did not receive.

I wasn’t looking to argue, so I let it go, but I felt disappointed with how the situation was handled. Mistakes happen, but I believe customers should receive what they pay for or be given a reasonable solution when an order is incorrect.

Has anyone else had a similar experience, or is it just me?

Great tacos! Great steak,beans, drinks! Salsas are very delicious, pleasant service and fast as well! Every time I visit the valley, this is a must eat place for my family!

I went specifically to try their tripita tacos however I did not enjoy the taste you can taste and feel in your mouth when they dont throughly clean the tripes. They have alot of left over junk inside. They look great but not to my liking. The potatoe presentation was nice but the meat on top did not have any flavor my daughter asked me to try it because she wanted to make sure it wasn't her but yes no flavor on the meat and the meat was cold like they just threw it in top they didn't reheat it.

After a long day of work I decided to pick up dinner for my family. Order over the phone & picked up thru the drive thru when I got home I realized they gave me the wrong order. Called back to let me know they had messed up on my order, employee asked for a picture which was sent & she confirmed it was wrong. She spoke to manager Jorge who only resolution for the mistake was for me to drive back with the incorrect order so they can replace it. I ordered correctly, when I picked up the order I confirmed a second time of what I asked for yet I was given something I did not order and their customer service decision was for me to drive back. Poor customer service in my opinion, I decided to order dinner from them, I paid for something I did not get and managers decision was to inconvenience me.

The tacos are good and well served, though nothing out of the ordinary. The staff greets you nicely, but the service is a bit slow. I was the third customer in line and it still took 22 minutes for my order to be ready.

I also feel the tacos are overpriced for what you get. The quality of the meat could be better — the bistec had quite a bit of fat and cartilage. I would gladly pay up to $20 for the order if the meat had less fat and better quality.
