I’ve enjoyed Chuy’s at other locations, but the San Marcos branch fell short. I ordered the enchiladas with red chili sauce, and unfortunately, the sauce tasted like canned paste—flat, metallic, and lacking any depth or spice. It was a letdown for a dish that should be a highlight. Service was friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. However, the atmosphere was overwhelmingly loud—so much so that it was difficult to hold a conversation with someone seated right next to me. Not ideal for a relaxed meal. The biggest issue was the wait time. Our food took 43 minutes to arrive, and one of the orders was incorrect. For a casual dining spot, that’s excessive and frustrating. I still recommend Chuy’s as a brand, but not this particular location. It’s clear there’s a lack of consistency across the chain, and this experience didn’t reflect the quality I’ve come to expect.

We’ve been to the San Marcos Chuy’s many times over the years, and once again, they delivered exactly what we’ve come to expect — fast seating, easy parking, friendly service, and food that comes out quickly and exactly as ordered. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and our servers have always been attentive without hovering.
Until New Braunfels can catch up, we’ll gladly keep making the short drive for a Chuy’s visit that actually feels like Chuy’s

Fourth of July and we wanted to make sure we saw the fireworks show and we tried to go to Garcia‘s and they’re at website wasn’t updated for any of their locations and none of their phone numbers worked so after telling my family to drive all the way from Seguin to come to Garcia‘s I quickly adjusted and switch this over to this locationand could not have been happier with the service the food as well as the location which happened to be perfect, we were able to eat and go out to the parking lot and see a perfect view of the fireworks

We had Olivia as our server last night July 2, 2025 She was absolutely amazing! We were hot and exhausted and hungry Olivia made sure we never had to wait for anything! She’s absolutely amazing!!!!!!!
