Stopped by this food cart on a road trip from Austin to Devil’s Backbone. Decided to pull off at this little park and grab something to eat. Had the Reuben and a side salad, both were great. Ended up chatting with the owners, Gretchen & Luke, for quite some time. Some of the best people you’ll ever meet. There’s also a great place to grab a drink next door. My favorite stop so far on my vacation. Highly recommend giving this place a try!!!
If you love veggies the VEGGIE SANDWICH IS A MUST GET IT NOW TYPE THING!!! The freshest greens, super crisp arugula 🤤🤤🤤popping flavor, and leaves you so satisfied!!!
Keep keeping it local y’all and stop by and support her!!! Truly one of my top three places for veggie sandwiches hands down.

Darrel's Board is a hidden gem worth stopping for on a road trip. The Reuben sandwich is a standout, served with parmesan crusted rye bread. The quality of meats, bread, and finishing touches like dressing are top-notch. The Patty Melt has been highlighted as the best many have tried, making it a must-try for sandwich lovers. The veggie sandwich is also recommended, and the soups during cold months are delicious. The Thanksgiving specialty sandwich is so good that it's worth going back for. The hand-crafted sandwiches take a bit longer, but the wait is worth it, as everything is fresh and tastes amazing. Darrel's Board is just a minute from the junction, making it definitely worth the drive no matter which direction visitors are coming from. Highly recommended for a delicious and satisfying meal experience.
