I love that this historic restaurant is still operating in my old college town. The burgers are even better than I remembered. Super friendly owner and staff and great food! I will be back frequently!
I thought broiler meant that the meat was broiled. Guess that’s my mistake. Regular grilled burgers. They’re decent burgers but not what I remember from 10+years ago. Friendly staff and big seating area with pool tables in the back. What happened to the toppings for the manske rolls? Different but still good.
I've been a customer here for over 45 years. This is probably the worst shape it's been in during that time. While the single employee was polite and helpful, it is obvious some food preparation training is needed. And what should be one of the highlights of a visit, the beloved Manske Roll, was a sad, presentation altogether, the bread was old, the glaze was separating after the nuclear blast of the microwave. Train is an absolute must, or it will be the oldest restaurant...
