An incredible Texas bar-b-que spot. There are a couple Black's locations in the area, but this is my favorite in both ambiance and food quality (sorry Lockhart).
The meat, especially the brisket and chicken, are outstanding. Among the best in Texas in my himble opinion. A must stop during any trip down 35!

I was able to check off a visit to Black’s Original BBQ in Lockhart from my bucket list. The brisket was amazing, I got mine cut from the point. However I was extremely disappointed in the sausage. I did not like the texture as it was very grainy and fell apart once the skin was broken. The pork ribs were very tender and fell off the bone but all I could taste was smoke. The three stars relates only to the beef rib.
I had my heart set on the dino rib and a lil starch.
All the fixns where fresh and delicious, the sides were yummy.
The beef rib was a tad dry in my opinion.
The seasoning was done well and the rib was tasty.

Next time i will try the brisket. I saw them slicing some and it looked juicy and tender.

I am very picky about bbq because I make my own.
