Got the chicken tikka masala, it wasn’t bad but didn’t taste like tikka masala from any other restaurant I’ve tried, sauce was too creamy and it didn’t taste like they used cumin at all and not the right ratio with the turmeric or coriander, not sure why they decided to do coconut rice, it doesn’t elevate the dish in any way

Food is always top notch. Service is hit or miss. Especially if you sit outside. I don't think the servers like waiting on the outside tables. We only sit inside these days.

After visit to San Marcos shopping mall, we stopped here for late dinner.
Nice place, with lot of open air seating
Very quick service
Parking available for this restaurant on the side
Had a good time and it's cheap (compared to Austin 😉)

Nice place for Indian food in San Marcos. The flavors were delicious. We had the mango/spinach salad with Peri-Peri chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Saag paneer with the loaded samosa. It was all good.

Ok little spot, just super average food. Basically gentrified Indian food. It’s about as good as the packaged Chicken Tikka Masala from Costco, which is pretty good for what it is, but I expect better when going out to a restaurant for food. Not sure why it’s rated so high! It’s fine, not bad, just fine.

Delicious fusion restaurant with a large draft beer list and great atmosphere. We enjoyed some delicious beer, curry, and kebabs in their lovely front patio area.

The staff were super helpful and friendly. The food is good, Indian food is hard to come by in TX and so this is the best Indian/fusion you're gonna get in San Marcos. Really tasty!

This place is amazing! I've come here for close to a year and a half and it's never missed! The service is always great and the food is always delicious. I even came here after my wedding to celebrate! I can't recommend this gem of a restaurant enough. If you live in or are visiting San Marcos, come eat here!!!

Very cute and cozy indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are very reasonable for the portions you’re getting. Wide variety of options, including vegetarian and vegan. Great wine and beer selection, as well as coffee, tea, etc…. Service is great and knowledgeable about the menu. I loved the option of the curry trio to try a few different things. Definitely a great place to go for affordable and delicious food!
Parking: There is a parking lot right behind the restaurant that is fairly small, but we were still able to find parking there on a Friday at 7pm! Parking lot can be shared with the Zelicks bar next door.

This place appears as a halal place on Google search, upon arrival, after finding parking, I found out that they are serving beer.
Always a delight coming to North Street. They have a decent amount of gluten free options, although I do wish there were more dishes that didn't contain tomato. Regardless, I am willing to face the consequences for how delicious the Tikka Masala is! The rice is a great part of this dish as well. Trying out the seasonal flavors of their Lassi is always fun too.
Lunch is much less crowded if you're wanting to have your food out quicker, but dinner is never overly crowded either. It's worth the wait either way.

I got the North Street Fries as an appetizer and they were delicious! They put a great tasting seasoning on waffle fries. For my entree, I got the Chana Masala Taco, it was very good. It came with a side salad that had a lemon ginger vinaigrette. My partner got the Chana & Spinach dish, which he really enjoyed. He said he loved the Chana. Def recommend this place if you want some good Indian cuisine! Updated from previous review on 2024-10-14
