Best smoked sausage on the planet. They make it themselves and then bbq it to perfection. I like it better than the ribs and brisket. But everything is always good and worth the trip.

I did get there at end of day Sunday. Sides just ok n there chopped brisket..Ribs n sausages both were very good n smoked ..Want to try more but was out ...I'll be back just 4 mins from Outlet

This was my first time getting food from San Marcos BBQ and I ordered through Uber Eats. The combo I ordered was brisket with half a chicken and two sides and a drink. I got the brisket which was mostly fat, and a leg quarter of chicken and my two sides. But no drink. I also ordered a bag of chips and I did not get those either. So very unhappy with my first experience with this restaurant. Hopefully this is not their norm.

The bbq is great. Love the hatch pepper and gouda sausage. For me, the braised cabbage does it.
Came here with a friend, and the people who worked here were so kind and friendly! We wanted a Texan barbecue experience, and I think we got it! We got The Judy, and it was so good! More than enough for my friend and I. Everything was delicious, and the vibe was just what we were looking for.

Went for lunch and had the two meat plate with brisket, chicken, pinto beans and cabbage. If you have not had the cabbage here you need to give it a try. It was very good! The brisket and chicken were not dry and very tasty. It's located just outside San Marcos on the way to New Braunfels on a back road which is nice because the traffic was not bad at all. Overall it was a good experience and when I am in the area next time I will definitely stop in.

The place was kinda filthy. The tables weren't wiped down. The bread was siding on a side table self service. The cabbage was overcooked and the brisket was dry. They ran out of ribs and I ended up getting a stomach ache and then squirts. We saw this place on Texas eats that's why we stopped in but ain't going back for sure.
