The food wasn't so bad, but the servers apparently don't wear pants. Weird. It's counter service, but the people who bring you your food don't have to wear pants.
Today's trip to Sean Patrick's Irish Pub was another one of those weird situations, where I should've been there before. Within the last four years, my college roommate and I have made two trips to San Marcos to visit our old stomping grounds, eat breakfast at Herbert's, and visit any breweries in the area. Sean Patrick's is a hybrid restaurant and bar. It's a comfortable spot in the middle of downtown San Marcos. It's a "place your order and your work is finished" establishment. Once done and seated, you don't have to worry about your water glass or coffee cup running dry. The entrees are terrific, the kind of comfort food that your mom might cook after a tough day....and she had an Irish heritage. Will definitely be back there when business brings us back to the area.
