Pretty Good! The Pork Chop plate was pretty tasty. It is a must try. Will go there again.

I went in with no expectations since it was a last minute choice, but I'm so happy I went. I think the chicken and calamari were fried well - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and it was seasoned great as well. I was also blown away by the braised beef in terms of authenticity - it tasted like the braised beef I would get from Taiwan and I couldn't stop thinking about that. The inside was clean and small but very quaint. The worker was so nice, I was confused about the soup situation and didn't realize that you had to buy it before (that was my bad I should have looked at the menu closer), and the worker asked me if it was my first time there and from then on made sure to check in often and would ask about the food and the soup.

Good authentic Taiwanese joint. Owner is super nice and came out to greet all the customers. Food as pretty good. It's a relatively small place so might not be great for huge parties.

Crispy chicken and fried squid were authentic, crispy, moist, and extremely flavorful. Braised beef tasted better cold after a night in the fridge than hot in the restaurant. Egg drop soup was authentic.

Simple place that serves humble comfort food based out of Taiwan. We ordered a couple fried dishes, which, while they weren't greasy, were quite strong with 5 spice and seemed unbalanced and a little heavy. For us it was a little unappetizing, but I am aware a lot of people really love the food here a lot. The place is very small and feels like a relaxing place to grab some food in between classes. The sweet tea is super sweet, as is the cucumber salad. A lot of sugar is used. The guy who helped us out behind the counter was really nice and the place has the vibe of being a family joint. Just not my thing.
When time permitting, Mama-Su (I believe she is the owner and head chef) makes it a point to greet every customer and welcome them in. This is such a great establishment! Everything from the food, atmosphere, and staff/customer interaction makes it an awesome dining experience. This is truly a gem near TSU and very surprised it has been not nominated and or voted as San Marcos Daily record "Best of the Best". Their ratings and reviews alone should be an automatic nomination for future awards.
The best noodles in Texas. The price point, service, and quality of food is beyond words. The owner is so kind she alone makes coming here worth it.

God I love this place. Sometimes I come here multiple times a week, just for the fried tofu!Mama S. Is the sweetest woman on the planet, and recognizes repeat customers, and always greets everyone with a smile. Seriously, this is a hidden gem, and I've yet to have a bad meal here. Everything is delicious!
