When time permitting, Mama-Su (I believe she is the owner and head chef) makes it a point to greet every customer and welcome them in. This is such a great establishment! Everything from the food, atmosphere, and staff/customer interaction makes it an awesome dining experience. This is truly a gem near TSU and very surprised it has been not nominated and or voted as San Marcos Daily record "Best of the Best". God I love this place. Sometimes I come here multiple times a week, just for the fried tofu!Mama S. Is the sweetest woman on the planet,and recognizes repeat customers, and always greets everyone with a smile. Seriously, this is a hidden gem, and I've yet to have a bad meal here. Everything is delicious!

Crispy chicken and fried squid were authentic, crispy, moist, and extremely flavorful. Braised beef tasted better cold after a night in the fridge than hot in the restaurant. Egg drop soup was authentic.
