If you're looking for genuinely authentic and high-quality mini tacos, look no further than Taquitos Mi Rancho. I tried a mix of chorizo and lengua (cow tongue), and the lengua tacos were easily some of the best I've ever had. The meat was prepared perfectly—so tender and moist—making every bite delicious.
Their commitment to flavor extends to their condiments; the hot and green sauces were fantastic. What sealed the deal for me was the inclusion of an actual freshly grilled jalapeño—a true treat for anyone who loves real spice!
My only regret is that the tripa (intestines) were sold out, but that just guarantees I'll be coming back very soon to sample more of their menu. Incredible food, great experience. 💣🔥👏🏼🥵 🤤 ✨️

The food was, as always, very good—consistent and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the customer service completely ruined the experience. The server was cussing at me and my partner, speaking negatively about the very place she works, and yelling at us in a loud, rude manner after a small incident with the check. While the issue with the bill was eventually resolved, her attitude toward us never improved.This was extremely disappointing and unlike anything we’ve ever experienced before. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but this was an over-the-top reaction that no customer should ever have to endure. I would never want to be served or assisted by her again.

Best spot san marcos without a doubt. You can pull in and order from the car or get down and eat there (they come to you!!). Amazing food, amazing staff. No complaints 10/10 recommend.
Taquitos Mi Rancho is one of the best taco spots I’ve been to in San Marcos! It’s a food truck setup with a nice big parking lot where cars park, and the waiters actually come up to each car with the menu — which I found to be a really nice and thoughtful touch. They also have some seating available if you prefer to sit outside.
When I went, the sky was clear and there was a cool breeze even though it was the end of summer — the whole atmosphere just felt perfect for enjoying good food.
Now, the food itself — amazing! They have plenty of options like mini tacos, tortas, quesadillas, burritos, and a variety of refreshing lemonades. I personally loved the mini tacos — each one comes with a slice of avocado, and the price feels totally fair for the quality and portions.
They also give you lots of sides: grilled onions, pickled onions, pickled jalapeños, and pico de gallo — everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was great too — the waiters were friendly, fast, and attentive.
Overall, it’s a fantastic taco place to hang out with friends or just grab a quick bite. Definitely recommend if you’re in San Marcos!
