this was ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!!! food was d e l i c i o u s (i got the chicken shawarma, 10/10) and when I told them it was my first time in they were very welcoming and made great conversation. stellar atmosphere and cuisine. :)
I have been coming to The Pita Shop since it opened. Even since moving to Austin, I still drive to 30 miles to enjoy the best Greek food in central Texas! Omar is personable, greets his guests, and knows them by name. Don’t miss this gem.
My favorite order is the Greek salad, add chicken shawarma or chicken tikka. SO FILLING and so many yummy veggies. Chicken is always moist and masterfully seasoned 👨🏽🍳

The service was great as were the sweet potato fries. They were served hot and were not greasy, but they had too much salt sprinkled on top. On the plus side, the food portions were large. My salad was fresh and the dressing tasty. However, the chicken was dry and minimal flavor. The stuffed grape leaves were also dry and tasteless. The sweet tea was sweet but not much taste. The atmosphere was too noisy. Overall, I give the Pita Shop a 7.5 out of 10.
