The restaurant itself is pretty nice, it is in a college town so they do charge more. The char sui buns are absolutely divine. However, we got spicy tuna and sake nigiri. Spicy tuna had 0 flavor even with the spice they add on the top, and the tuna itself tasted like nothing but tiny chewed up pieces of paper. The sake nigiri was good EXCEPT please use less water when shaping because it was very very wet. Not appetizing.
Delicious food and great service! Best sushi in San Marcos. However, they could improve the look of the restaurant. The chairs and tables look very old. It doesn’t make sense to have such amazing food, but very outdated and ugly place. The floor outside is dirty, same with the windows
Good quality sushi and a comfortable environment. Could have spent less, but I wanted to splurge on top notch food and I was not disappointed. Watching the Chef bob to the music while preparing the food was also entertaining.
