⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My wife and I were headed back from Gorman Falls when we spotted this place—and thank the food gods we stopped! We were starving and figured, “why not?”... and wow, best decision of the trip!
The live band was absolutely killing it, the vibe was pure good energy, and everyone there was ridiculously friendly. But the real star of the show? The FOOD. That burger—hands down the best burger either of us has ever had. We didn’t even care that it took a bit to come out because the music and atmosphere had us vibing the whole time.
When the burgers hit the table, it was game over. We both looked at each other like, “Why didn’t we order two of these?” I’m already planning a return trip next year—not for the waterfall this time, but for this place and those burgers. Seriously, if you’re anywhere nearby, you have to stop here. You’ll thank yourself later.

My husband and I stayed a couple of nights here and let me tell you.. I will never forget it. And we WILL be back!! The food, music, and hospitality were literally the best. The people who run this place are so welcoming and just damn COOL!! I was not expecting to stay at a place so unique and perfect for our taste. We had such a blast and felt right at home. I can’t wait to make my way back there and bring all my friends. You all deserve recognition and praise and love.

A very diffrent kinda place . Food is one of the best wraps I have had in a long time. Very laid back with live music friendly staff. The patio area is very welcoming. Children and fur babies that are well behaved dont look to be an issue this is a true hill country jem that should be seen ! Don't pass it by. The history has to run deep. From the air stream on the patio to the buildings. Someone cut out a land mark that should be seen b4 its gone.

IMHO, the food is on the expensive side. If you must eat there, DON'T ORDER the catfish and shrimp plate, $23.95. It took well over an hour to be served from the time I ordered it until it hit my table. Note: Advertizing picture shows catfish fillets. Reality is catfish nuggets...tastes good, if you like lots of breading. Service otherwise was decent. Bottom line, I give BGS 4 stars for the atmosphere. Go there for drinks and the vibe...not for food.

The cold beer was great, the food was greater, and the staff was the best! Don’t be afraid to stop by and grab a bite and a brew if you’re in the area or leaving the state park. Maybe there will Be some live music playing while you’re there.

We stopped by the Bend General Store for lunch, while camping at Sulphur Springs Camp. We had a pretty large group of adults, kids, and a baby too! Everyone was so kind and welcoming! They brought out coloring books, crayons, and even sidewalk chalk for the kids. Shelby was so nice and attentive and the food was DELICIOUS. Can't wait to be back in the area again for another visit!

Friendly, fast, attention to details. Fantastic place for a Sunday afternoon. Absolutely. Absolutely. Rented a cabin for 2 nights upcoming spring. Hidden gem.

Quirky in all the right ways. Friendly folks serving up cold beer and hot food. The kind of place that you remember. We didn’t get to see the live band that was playing the evening we went but the stage looked impressive. Order the Donniepeno burger. You won’t regret it. I had the catfish and shrimp with fries and coleslaw and hush puppies. It was solid but in hindsight I would have ordered the burger. My son had it and offered me a bite. Seriously juicy and packed with flavor. We will be back. The dogs were cool too.
