I was very pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. The workers very nice and helpful, the rib tips were amazing good, the pulled pork plate was delicious, the sides are good as well. I almost forgot to add that the pulled chicken potato was good.Parking: The parking was located across the street and it wasn’t a lot of parking.
Staff was friendly and helpful only problem was now mixed plates only one meat, or buy separately, besides that food was good and flavorful,

After passing up this place several times we finally Stopped by for take out! Instantly noticed how immaculate it was! And the decor so cute!!great music! Friendly staff! We ordered ribs, pot salad, green beans, sweet beans, carrot cake and the peach cobbler!! Every side was delicious!!! Can we talk about the dessert!! It was amazing! We were very happy with the taste of everything! The mild and hot bbq sauce had a perfect flavor! Will def be back to try the sweet bbq sauce and Mac & cheese with the brisket! New fave bbq spot!

The other day, my dad and I visited The Purple Pig and were extremely happy after lunch. The service was excellent from the moment that we walked through the door. The young ladies in the front were very welcoming. My dad and I ordered a baked potato for lunch. I had a potato with brisket. The brisket was beautifully seasoned, and cooked to perfection. My dad loved his potato with sliced sausage. My dad said that the sausage was well seasoned, and very tender. We both chose the sweet sauce for our sauce of choice with our potatoes. The sweet sauce was amazing. The sauce had a perfect balance of and sweet and spicy without going over the top. In my opinion, the sweet sauce definitely needs to be bottled and sold. The inside of the restaurant had a perfect laid-back vibe. Purple is my favorite color, so I loved everything about the inside and outside. They were playing old-school R&B music inside the restaurant. Personally, I loved it because those songs reminded me of a simpler time. I thought that choice of music was a perfect touch. For drinks, my dad had a sweet tea, which he said was amazing. I had an Arnold Palmer, which was delicious. Overall, this restaurant is a definite must try. The only thing that I would say is that they need to change is the size of the drinks because I did not feel like my drink was big enough I definitely could have used a bigger drink.

It’s Black Restaurant Week through this Sunday, March 3. We wanted to show our support so I looked at the list of participating restaurants. Have known about @thepurplepigbbq but hadn’t visited to try it out until today for dinner.Not only is this a black-owned restaurant, but it’s also a veteran-owned business. Demetric and Cherise Herron are both Army Veterans, who served our country. Made me even happier that we chose to stop by. It was also great to see that there was quite a crowd on a Friday night.Cherise took our order at the counter and checked on us to make sure we’re enjoying the food. The Pork Rib Tip Plate is the featured dish for the restaurant week, where $1 is donated to the Lemonade Circle. We ordered that along with half pound of Chopped Brisket, a side of creamed corn, cole slaw, and potato salad. Hubby was excited for the huge Turkey Leg. We all tried everything and it was great tasting food. Hubby tried the hot BBQ sauce while I tried both the mild and sweet. Both were good but I preferred the sweet. Loved all the sides and the chopped brisket was so tender. Outstanding and highly recommended!

This place is barbecue done right! Friendly and efficient customer service, relaxed, vibe and delicious barbecue. Three pulled pork sandwiches, chips and a rib plate were under $45. Meat fell off the bone of the ribs and the sides of macaroni and cheese and potato salad were well seasoned and flavorful. The kids finished their pulled pork sandwiches and chips and exclaimed multiple times how much they enjoyed them. My only regret was that I didn't get the peach cobbler and ice cream but I'll get it next time I return.
