What a fun "home in the wall" yummy restaurant! As visitors to Texas for the second time, we wanted more local BBQ than a major chain group. This was the answer! Based on others' reviews, we decided to try and it did not disappoint. Meat so tender it falls off the bone with the smokiness of the wood smoker. The staff were very nice and helpful. What a fun atmosphere to dine in and enjoy.
Today I ordered 2 chicken fried chicken plates with side orders, mashed potatoes that was barely warm, and now adding nutmeg to it, cole slaw that was a tasted old, last time I ordered the chicken fried chicken it was dark looking don't know if it was the oil needed changing or the spices made it change color. I remember times past it came out a golden color. And today I ordered the same and I told the person to tell the cooks not fry it dark. Must of not listened. This...
Wish I would’ve found this place sooner love, the decor very nice homely place friendly people very clean and welcoming. Highly recommended to anyone and their friends and family bring them all. The barbecue is to die for. Love all the signs all the unique antiques to go with it just feels like home.
