If you’re craving comfort food that feels like grandma made it (but better), Shelly’s McClain’s is the spot. The diner atmosphere is pure nostalgia, the people are kind as can be, and the food does NOT disappoint. The biscuits and gravy? Chef’s kiss. The French toast? Fluffy, golden, and worth every bite. Plus the portions are big come hungry! I’ll definitely be back.
Overall one of our #1 places to eat breakfast. The service has been great and we're regulars they already know our order from the drinks to the food and sides. Haven't had a bad experience but you just gotta go in and find your own seat. It's a small business and they get incredibly busy so you gotta seat yourself. Great food just wish the waitress came back more. But, they were pretty busy so I understood because they have great homemade tasting food. Don't think I've ever got bad food except 2 yrs with bad fries. Other than that, can't beat the great food and service [when they don't have a full house].
