Camino Viejo Mexican Restaurant

Small and quite authentic place. Great for people who need a calmer environment. The salsa was amazing. Entrees were great. Only complaint is my beans had a little bit too much pepper but when mixed with the rice and a little salsa it blended nicely.

Camino Viejo rates right up there with my top Mexican restaurants, and there a jillions of them across NCTX and DFW. I got the typical Tex-Mex plate of enchiladas and tacos, which to me is the gold standard by which all restaurants in this genre are measured. Camino Viejo takes home the gold, for sure! Plus, the chips and salsa are absolutely perfect -- crispy and spicy -- a must for all Tex-Mex connoisseurs! Sherman is lucky to have a restaurant this excellent.

Me and the Hubs stopped in for lunch while in the area. Hands down the best steak tacos I've ever had! I normally end up getting chicken tacos in a new place, for fear of the steak being tough or full of fat. We both were super happy with our meal! The atmosphere was friendly and not super loud.

Decent place to eat if you are in the mood for Mexican food. Food was good, as was the service.

The new chef doesn’t have the same skills, food quality noticeably declined. The servers are all student very rude. But price is so expensive. Disappointed.

Had a table of 10 people for mother's Day our table got served their food, my mom and I never got our food while the tables around us that came in after us all got their food an all this was after our server done apologed for us having to wait so long and recognizing we didn't have our meals. Another 20 mins went by another table being served so at this point my sister spoke up. They had no management there for us to speak to they said the cooks couldn't speak English. By the time we got our food the rest of our table had already finished eating including their desert OUR FOOD WAS SO COLD like it was setting back there the whole time. They wouldn't compensate us nothing, like it was okay to do their customers this way. I wouldn't usually leave a review but I will never go back to this place.

Cheese enchiladas, chili sauce, and skirt steak. Cheese was creamy and the steak was tasty. Worth the stop.
