We visited The Wig and Gavel for the first time on a rainy Thursday night. The pub is small but mighty. We found seats at the bar, and Rob immediately greeted us with a drink menu. For cocktails, I highly recommend the Margareta Thatcher and Old Fashioned. They host a weekly trivia night and sports on tv. We loved the ambiance and conversation with other patrons. The owners are fabulous and treat you like family. We will definitely be back to try the food.

We wandered here after visiting Rio to Red Winery and as it was our first time exploring Sherman - the Wig and Gavel was such a gem! The pub culture was just like London, food was great as was the service and I've experienced nothing like this since my last visit over the pond. Should you find yourself in Sherman pop in for a late lunch, afternoon cocktail or dinner. Doubt you'll be disappointed.

We have visited W&G a couple of times and we absolutely love it. The best atmosphere and phenomenal drinks. The food is delicious, especially the bread and oil. Customer service is top notch and it’s small and intimate. Not loud and chaotic like the other places around town. We will absolutely be back.

EDIT: 20:03:14 is 8:03:14 which is the time on my receipt after I left W&G, way before they were closing. Drink didn't match the description, out of stew and the "chicken Tikka masala" was rice and sauce never found any chicken. Weirdly I thought fish and chips would have been on the menu. We did enjoy the dip and bread, and husband liked the bangers and mash.
