“I’ve ate at some great BBQ joints all across the great state of Texas stretching from Marathon, Texas (out west) to North Texas, East Texas and as far south as Laredo and all around the Coastal Bend and I’ve got to hand it Butter’s BBQ some of the best BBQ I’ve had in a long time. By far the best Ribs in the state and in my opinion better bbq overall than two of Texas Monthly’s Top 10 off their most recent list. Enjoyed my visit and can’t wait to come back.”

“We were driving through after a long drive yesterday and decided to pull over. So thankful we did! The food and service was absolutely Amazing . I will be going back often. The kind lady was the absolute sweetest and she had our order ready in rocket time! The potato salad was DELICIOUS as was the pork sandwich. The coleslaw had just the right zing. All around AMAZING! “Went there at 11am. When breakfast was supposed to end. There were 3 other people there for breakfast, 2 ahead of us. At first the cashier said we're done serving breakfast, but after urging him to ask the kitchen, he did, and we all ended up getting some breakfast. Rare awesome service.”

“Shot out to FRANK the chef. I drive a semi truck ?. It's hard to park and eat where you want. They have a small spot for truck parking by the fuel lanes. I was so hungry at 1 AM in the morning. They were almost out of Carne Guisada. Frank got me some fresh from the back. It tasted really good. I was finally full and not falling asleep.It's a good spot to eat late night.”

“We call it our Dairy Queen, everybody calls it their DQ. Odem has about 2500 people and is slowly growing and doesn’t have to many options. Our Dairy Queen is one of the larger DQ’s I’ve been in. It has several areas could be used for small gatherings to a decent size birthday party. I know people who travel 10 miles or more to come to the Odem DQ. And the reason is like everyone says, the food is hot and tasty, service is quick, the treats are sweet and cold and agrees on how clean the restaurant and grounds are.”

“On our way to the Valley and stopped by for lunch. Food was great! Enjoyed my crawfish étouffée, mix veggies. Neice shared the burger with hobo fries with my sister n law, and my brother had some seriously yummy fish tacos! Great staff, owner, Nathan was very gracious. Worth the stop. 5 people ate for $40 from the lunch menu. Unbelievable! Be sure to check it out!”

Always spotless clean inside and out. Fast friendly service and the food is always fresh and hot, even looks like the pictures on the windows.
