Good selection on the menu board. Food is prepared with love, tastes good and prepared as requested in a timely manner. Good acoustics and plenty of room between tables. Really unique self serve condiment setup. Prices are a bit high for a retirement community but offset with their very good food and service.
The food was exceptionally good; the water tasted so awful, I could only take sips. If I go there again, I will bring my own water; the people were all very friendly.

I have been to Pockets a handful of times and no matter if I dine in or order to go the food and staff is always on top of it. The guacamole burger is by far my favorite. They have a bit of everything from burgers to salads to pizza or quesadillas. Would highly recommend to anyone. They even have a playground for the kiddos.
The customer service here is great, but the food not so much. The food quality doesn’t align well with the price. I ordered the chicken tenders and a burger. The tenders were $15 for 3 frozen tenders and some fries. The burger patty had no flavor and it also appeared to be from frozen meat. The soda machine also has a bad taste and the soda is flat.

This is an order at the counter, pick up your order, get your own silverware, drinks and condiments kind of place. Then they ask for a tip. The food was good standard fried catfish, slaw and fries.
We stopped by in Smithville for our first time and the menu is extensive and delicious with fair prices. I got a hamburger for around $10, fries $2.50, plus drink $3. They have a condiment bar inside a car trunk and it reminds me of Fuddruckers! The space is clean, table size variety, a room separated for Lions Club members when we were there, and an outdoor covered porch, all very nice. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. We will definitely go again and HIGHLY RECOMMEND you pop on by!
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly but a small interior dining area so kids must be behaved. Outdoor porch seating perfect for kids and a small play yard as well.

I have old childhood memories from when my mom worked at Pockets decades ago and I love going there specifically for their fried mushrooms because many places do not offer them anymore and everything else you order here is just bonus deliciousness! I’m so glad that it is still around and every time I am in town I will be eating here at least once. Their burgers are slamming. So hot, you gotta be careful! I’ll be back soon! Can’t wait to take my child one day on the playscape!!
