Pit Stop BBQ Reviews
I always judge by the beans. If the beans are bland plate filler, pass. This place gets it right! And the brisket was clearly slow cooked to perfection. I’ve eaten a lot of barbecue over several decades, and Pit Stop is one of the best!

Pit Stop BBQ is a must-visit between El Paso and San Antonio, serving up delicious ribs, smoked turkey, and other mouthwatering dishes. The beans, potato salad, and cream corn are standout sides, and the sauce is a highlight. The atmosphere is great, with exceptional potato salad and coleslaw, as well as smoked sausage that's not greasy. Expect big portions, fast service, and friendly staff. The brisket pieces, smoked turkey, and creamed corn are especially out of this world, and the service is friendly and caring. The restaurant also offers unique dishes like chopped brisket tacos with no cheese or sauce, cole slaw, and pinto beans, which are good and hearty. The brisket tacos, in particular, shine, though the tortillas can be a bit cold. The pickles are standard, but the overall quality makes up for it. This cute little BBQ place provides tender, delicious meat and a cozy small-town vibe, making it a top choice for Texas-style barbecue.
