this taqueria used to be one of the best all over on spencer hwy. in Pasadena Texas but since they changed owner it is not the same in anything flavor, price service, parking space or karaoki music on weekends because those people who play music and sing on weekends dont have good voice to sing i definetly dont recomend my friends to go back anymore
used to be always full at nights specially on the weekends, they have unexperience new personel

So my family nd I went to go eat for lunch, the waitress said that one section was close,so we decided to sit somewhere else.. As we are there for like 10 mins in dinning, A man sits in the side where the section was close.. she didn’t bother to tell him anything..so we ask her and she didn’t know what to say..As our lunch was being served, I had ordered red enchiladas with onion, they didn’t put Onion in them, so the waitress brought me onion..(on the side )then to top it off no damm red sauce)I .. way to much cheese..I when ahead and let the the waitress know.. she wanted to bring some red sauce so I can pour it onto my Enchiladas.. I told her I didn’t want them anymore…I been coming here for 2years.., I’ve never complained about the food ..but I recommend not to come here.. this will be the last time…No wonder there’s no ppl there.. it explains everything !!!!!!ever since they change new management..

We used to come here once a week for years! I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid. It WAS everyone in our family's favorite place, but the new owners have ruined it. I don't see this place being open much longer. Since the change in ownership, we have tried it 3 or 4 times hoping for some improvement, even after the new people asked for our opinion, but it is just getting worse. Every time we have tried to come back, they are completely empty. This place used to be packed. We went last night and it was just us (family of 4) and 1 other table. There were 2 servers, the manager (I'm assuming. Some skinny guy that never came to check on anyone.) And the cook. It took well over 10 minutes to get our drinks. The tea tasted like it came from a container that has never been washed. It was so gross. The chips that we were finally served were literally crushed into 100s of pieces, and they were soft like they had been sitting in oil. Our waitress was talking so low that we could barely hear her. We kept having to ask her to repeat herself. The food was gross. The meat was very chewy, and the tortillas... I don't even know how to describe them. Store bought would have been better. I'm sad that a restaurant that did so well, had amazing food, and was a staple for so many people has been ruined in just a matter of months. This is the first year since I was little that we will not be doing our big family dinner dinners at tepatitlan. I wish the old owners would buy it back.

The place was empty only my family and 2 other tables were used. The waitress needed us to repeat our order more than 3 times drinks. Also our meal order was repeated more than once. When the meal came out she forgot to put my sons order in so he had to wait mind you it was only 3 tacos. She nevered smile greeted or apologize for the confusion. The food was great , that waitress doesn't have customer service ethics ( even if she was young with pigtails. She needs to be more careful. The other waitress noticed that my son and I werenot eating I because I was waiting for his food so I decided to give him my meal which was also tacos. That's when she stepped in and asked if we were missing a meal I said yes and she asked what it was. I told and she checked. I saw her put the order in the computer. This waitress was polite and very attentive. Then she came back and apologized for the confusion. And in the end the 2nd waitress who made it a 4 star on service the 1st waitress would have made a 1 star.
The difference in customer service makes a difference in how a place is being seen .

Ordered combination fajita, ( &19.99+tax), meat was burned, chicken was tasting old and bad , lot of oil on it. They need to lower their HIGH menu prices too.
Cooks needs to wear gloves, they touch customers foods without gloves…..( They appear through the glass…). Cook did not put complete order in the plate. Also Ordered and paid for mariscada, supposed to come with 3 shrimps and 3 oysters too, it was only fish, with rice and fries, I noticed that when came home , but did not go back to argue with them, they were busy, also not to waste gas and times. Waiter was a young man , medium built, with
haircut all the way around his ears. !!!!
!!! AVOID !!!

This place is a staple memory location to us... The Chilaquiles (red with queso fresco )were my favorite. This place WAS the only place that would have them authentic like my mom used to make. The Horchata always Hit on point.

Today... My chilaquiles were not it, they were not saucy... And was offered to pay 1.99 (side of sauce) for them to be like they used to. Taste was a 3/10... serving was a 3/10... Horchata was 3/10. The Horchata was bland but thick. 😬 I had to ask if there was a change in management.. And confirmed by the waitress change of ownership I happened 5 months ago.

Anyway- if you go with the same expectation from old owners... I am sorry... I can adapt to change But today I am sad about my visit.
