I have used Scratch Catering for numerous events over the years, and they continue to exceed my expectations every single time. The food is consistently exceptional and always a hit with guests. What truly sets Scratch Catering apart, however, is their incredible attention to detail. The staff is always friendly and dedicated to providing outstanding service.

I have used Scratch for a variety of events and Ted is always willing to work within my budget and delivers food and service that far exceeds my expectations. I host a lot of events for work, and it is nice to know that when his staff arrives, I can relax because they take care of everything.

Scratch will always be my first call when I have an event.

Of you're going to advertise while driving your catering van, you'll continue to loose customers when you text and drive and swerve into people's lanes scaring them half to death. Cutting lanes. Crossing solid lines. Absolutely driving IMSANE. If you dont have integrity while blasting your business...what do you do when no one's looking?

l went to a seminar that was catered by Scratch Catering. I was able to have the opportunity to try two of the several sandwiches that were available at the event, and I have to say they both were the best tasting sandwiches I have had in a long time. Highly recommend this business for your next event.

Catered meal for Thanksgiving. Turkey has a weird taste probably from being in the tray.
Stuffing and mac were mush. At least the mac tasted good, but they rationed it. It was the small amount, a bit or two. I ended up eating a roll, 2 bites of mac, one the dessert. It was pretty pitiful.

Communication was very poor and ended up being canceled on less than 2 weeks before my event. Would NOT recommend.

Background: I filled out the online request through the website on July 4, 2025 for a bridal shower lunch that was planned for August 2, 2025. Ted Bilsky, the owner, responded the same day (7/4) at 10:33am with a quote of typical bridal shower options. I replied to the quote on July 4, 2025 at 4:27pm, asking to remove some items and change to pick up versus catering. Ted never responded to my email request. I followed up with Ted on 7/15/25 to see if my updates were received and if there were any questions. Again, no response from Ted. I then emailed a third time on 7/19/25 since it was getting closer to the bridal shower party. Ted finally emailed back on 7/21/25 saying the delay was due to taking time off and that he could not do the catering due to the small amount of items requested and not meeting the minimum amount.

While I completely understand the business aspect of minimum requirements, what is completely unprofessional is not responding to emails for almost 2.5 weeks and not having an out of office automatic email response to keep his customers aware of his absence. I believe Ted could have handled this situation better. Since the event was less than two weeks away and Ted’s response was canceling my order completely, this left the customer with no vendor on short notice.

Hopefully this saves others from what was truly a terrible experience!

Scratch Kitchen was super easy to work with and were quick to respond to my emails. The food (fajita buffet) and service the day of the event were outstanding! The presentation was beautiful! All of my guests raved about it! I’ll definitely be back! I had a backyard party with about 30 guests.

Amazing, delicious food, and always so accommodating. We absolutely love the owner, and he is always so gracious to our organization being a non-profit. Truly an amazing company and I would recommend them to anyone!

I made a last-minute catering request to Scratch Catering to cater my daughter's brunch birthday party. First of all, Scratch is one of the few caterers that I found with a comprehensive brunch menu! Other caterers that I found only offer cold breakfast foods (similar to a continental breakfast). Ted put together a proposal for me and was able to accommodate the date I needed even with short notice. The chef came by and set everything up and came back the next weekday to pick everything up. It made everything so easy!

Our guests RAVED about the food... everything was incredible. If I ever need catering services again, I'll definitely be using Scratch.

Scratch Catering catered my wife’s 60th birthday party at our home. It was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, and plenty of it! We have a lot of leftovers that will last us a while(we had some no-shows). The staff was very professional and left our kitchen as clean as it was when they showed up. This is a premium service and worth the price if you’re looking for the best of the best.

When we first moved here from Memphis, Tn we had a hard time adjusting to the BBQ. We happened to be at an event Scratch was catering and we fell in love with their pulled pork, spot on, it reminded of us home. Now that we have been here long enough for Texas to be home, Scratch is our go to caterer!Now that Scratch has YouTube videos I feel like I stole their greatest recipes I have feasted on for years!Thank you Chef Teddy B & Scratch!

Scratch Catering is amazing across the board! From the chef who prepared the food, to the delivery team, the flawless set up of food and the genuine care to making sure your event goes well.I used Scratch for my husband's birthday - he love to cook and wanted brisket - Scratch prepared an amazing brisket for 30 people, plus salmon, and cauliflower steak for our vegi friends. The brisket was moist and had amazing flavor. The apps were wonderful!This is a great small business I would use !

Everything Scratch Kitchen has done for my events is 5star. From setup, prep and take down, their service is impeccable. Quality of food is top notch. The choices are ample and the portions are fine. I've never had an event where someone didn't ask for Ted's contact info. Best reference you can get.
