SHOGUN Sushi & Hibachi

We really enjoyed this place. Our chef was kind and very funny. Food was delicious. Seems to me like the building is old and worn out but the service was really good.

This place is very friendly, and I had a great experience overall. The server was really good—attentive, polite, and made sure everything was just right throughout the meal. The food was fantastic, with great flavor and quality in every dish we tried. Everything was good but chef should work on more shows. I’ll definitely be coming back again, and next time I’m planning to visit with my friends.

This restaurant was interesting to say the least, and not in a good way. We went for my birthday dinner, and no one asked if there was anything we were celebrating, they had a semi hostile attitude when we said one person was missing from our party. The waitress couldn’t get our orders right, and our hibachi chef didn’t do any fun tricks besides the onion volcano. I’m usually an overly optimistic person and try to give the benefit of the doubt, but this place needs some serious change. Chicken was dropped into a guests water and the chef said “was that your fault or mine”. The chicken gave my friends food poisoning because it wasn’t cooked properly, and then we were stared at by everyone else while we ate. Checks were handed to us right as we finished eating, giving us no time to ask for dessert or even think about it. Very uninviting. Please go anywhere else 😭

We took our kids here for the first time and it was disappointing. Our cook didn’t do many of the tricks other tables had and entertainment common at hibachi places. It was the fastest hibachi experience I can remember. The place was dirty and many of the decorations on the wall look like they have not been cleaned for years. The chairs were uncomfortable too. The place was just a bit depressing. The service was average. The drinks were horrible. And it was EXTREMELY overpriced. We won’t return. My advice is to go have hibachi elsewhere.

Hibachi chef was not very friendly, bathrooms not clean, very hot inside- just not what I remember for $45 a plate. Especially in Southlake.

Our go to spot to celebrate every special occasion no matter how big or small. We’ll go there even to celebrate it’s Tuesday!! Good staff, good food and sushi come out quick.

This is a fun experience with tasty food. It is a little on the expensive side, but you do get a lot of food. I recommend the steak with fried rice.

Our party of 7 visited this restaurant for our daughter's birthday and had an awesome time!! The hibachi chef was very engaging and funny! The food was very good and fresh, with large portions! Our waitress was very sweet & nice and even gave our daughter a large plated dessert of fried ice cream with a lit candle for her birthday! I recommend giving this establishment a try!

Hibachi… but make it hibach-NO.
Party of 9 with a reservation, yet we still waited 30 minutes after our scheduled time. Apparently “reservation” just means suggestion now.
The cook brought zero personality. No jokes, no flair, no fun—just a volcano onion that lasted about one minute. Blink and you missed the entertainment.
Then came the speed round. We were rushed through the meal like we were on a game show. Plates and drinks were taken while we were still eating—fork in one hand, to-go box in the other. Hibachi meets drive-thru.
For the price, we expected dinner and a show… not dinner and a countdown timer.
Unfortunately, we won’t be returning. We prefer to give our hard-earned money to places that act like customers matter
