Truluck's Ocean's Finest Seafood and Crab

My family and I celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday at Truluck’s in Southlake, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
We had a reservation for 7:15 PM for a fairly large group of nine people. Our table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived because the party before us needed a little extra time, and since we were a big group there weren’t many tables that could accommodate us. The manager, Mike, came over personally to apologize for the delay and told me he wanted to make sure my mom had a memorable birthday celebration.
We were seated around 7:30 PM—honestly only about 15 minutes late, which didn’t bother me at all—but Mike insisted on sending complimentary appetizers while we waited. I told him it wasn’t necessary, but he very politely insisted. To our surprise he sent six appetizers: two shrimp cocktails, two crab cakes, and two orders of calamari. It was incredibly generous and such a classy gesture.
Our server Kyle was spectacular. He was friendly, attentive, and handled a table of nine with ease. Service like that makes a big difference, and he absolutely delivered.
The food and wine were phenomenal. The seafood was incredibly fresh and the steaks were excellent. I had the shrimp and scallop sauté and added an 8 oz filet because I couldn’t decide—no regrets. The Parker House rolls were a massive hit with the table (buttery, warm, slightly crisp on the outside), and we ended up ordering four baskets.
To top off the evening, they surprised us with two complimentary Baked Alaska desserts that were big enough for the entire table to share—not just the birthday girl.
I can’t say enough about how well Mike and Kyle treated our family. They went above and beyond to make my mom’s 70th birthday special.
Truluck’s Southlake is now our go-to spot for special occasions. We’ll absolutely be back.

It was very loud. We were a table of six and sat in a side dining room with two other tables. The other tables were practically yelling out thier conversations. Not a good expirence. Food is good buy over priced.

Fantastic and Amazing restaurant with excellent food and the servers were Awesome! Went for a Birthday celebration, ordered the Special 3 course entree for us both with several selections! We will definately be back !!

My wife and I went to Truluck's for our 27th anniversary. On the reservations they ask if any special occasion is being celebrated, so I did mention that. We were quickly seated at our time, and we were met with a table with roses in a vase and petals surrounding the vase, and also a happy anniversary card. Our server, German, greeted us shortly and went over everything. We got appetizers and meals, which were both very good (King Salmon and Shrimp & Scallop Saute). Once we were done eating, German brought out a Baked Alaska for an anniversary treat. It was amazing! Overall an amazing experience.

We were seated in a corner booth by the front windows. We really liked that booth location as it was semi private, good day time lighting and just cozy (even though the whole restaurant has a nice vibe regardless of where u sit). We always enjoyed the pleasant service at Truluck's and this time our server Mickie was just as wonderful as our previous experience at Southlake. The kids loved it and the TRU prefix menu was a great deal! Xoxo, Sarah

Service was outstanding!! We all enjoyed everything we ordered from appetizers to desserts, except fot the Chilean sea bass. The fresh oysters were phenomenal!

Dennis is a fanTASTIC bartender and server. My wife said the ribeye was likely the best steak she ever has eaten. And the carrot cake is without a doubt the best we have ever enjoyed. Friday - Monday enjoy the bar and Dennis’ service. We will return here often !!

We had an amazing anniversary experience at Truluck's. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly special and welcome. Trevor, our waiter, was excellent — attentive, friendly, and professional. The manager also stopped by to check on us, which we really appreciated. The food was outstanding, and the overall attention to detail made our evening feel memorable and meaningful. We're so grateful for such a wonderful special night out.

If you want a nice restaurant with full service for that special occasion, Truluck is the place to go. It's a higher end place and cost but the extras they do and the perfections in their meals is well worth the money. Service the cream of the crop and I believe they may be the best place for those special occasions to eat in the area.

Our waiter did an excellent job. I can't recall his name; he is from El Salvador. He was informative and made excellent suggestions. Food and drinks were served promptly. Mike, the manager, stopped by to check on everything, too. Always nice when things go smoothly. The carrot cake at the end of dinner is the best we have had.

Our very favorite special occasion restaurant. Prime Rib on Sundays, shrimp & scallops and Sea Bass, green salad and calamari. Yummy yummy yummy.
