We were disappointed during our recent visit. The restaurant no longer uses a real charcoal grill, and the menu on the website doesn't match what was actually offered at the restaurant. Additionally, the outside skirt steak was actually an inside skirt, resulting in a tougher, less flavorful cut of meat. The owner also didn’t inquire about any issues when we were trying to get glasses for our wine, which was surprising given our history of dining there. We've visited many times with family and friends, but unfortunately, the experience seems to be declining each time. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Disappointing Experience – Will Not Return

Our visit to this winery was nothing short of frustrating. The entrance was poorly paved, making it difficult to even get to the venue comfortably. There was no signage to direct us, so we were left unsure of where to go or what to expect.

Upon entering, we were left standing around for 10 minutes with no greeting or instructions on where to sit. The only interaction we had was when the server finally approached us with a dismissive attitude, stating, “Don’t look at me, I’m the only one working right now.” Unfortunately, this set the tone for the rest of our visit.

After being ignored for so long, we ended up seating ourselves without any guidance, only to continue waiting for another 10 minutes. It became clear that customer service was not a priority here, so we made the decision to leave. It’s rare that I have such a negative experience, but this winery has left a bad impression, and we will not be returning.

I had high hopes for El Gaucho Winery, but unfortunately, my visit was a complete letdown. The parking situation is a mess, and there’s no clear signage anywhere, so you have no idea where to go. When we finally found our way inside, the only waiter on staff didn’t even bother to greet us or tell us where to sit. We sat there for 10 minutes with no service or acknowledgment before finally deciding to leave.

The views are nice, but that’s about the only positive thing I can say. If you’re looking for a well-run winery with good service, I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Very bad experience!!! The food was very bad (I think they changed the chef) the waiter tried to charge us $120 more, they charged us 20% more for a family of 6 and tip. So disappointed. We will never go back.

Great wines, great food. Loved the outdoor seating areas. Nice little area for kids to play in, as well. Parking was a bit confusing and the prices were a little high, but otherwise a great time

Brought friends here last night after loving this place a few years ago- it’s not the same place I remember at all and we won’t be back. They were hosting a party in the main room (which we did not know or were told) and we weren’t sure where to sit due to some misty weather, and ended up at some wet tables on a patio right by kitchen staff, who looked upset we were intruding (but there was no other place to sit outside of the rain). For 270$ for four of us sharing everything and one bottle of wine, we expected a good meal and the food was very underwhelming. The ribeye was particularly awful and tasteless, while the skirt steak was better. The potato side dishes were the highlight (which is ridiculous), and honestly I am just writing this because I regret spending my money here after last night. The wine was okay, and the server we eventually had was very nice which is why I give the two stars and left him a good tip. The value is not there at all for this price, there are far better experiences in this city and I’m so disappointed I even revisited- ridiculous prices for the quality of food and poor, unwelcoming experience.

A reservation was made a week (party of 3) ahead but they called 40 min before to let us know they have a big party event and don't be able to serve us, just the entrees and wine. We have to wait for the food until 5:00pm. Thank you for ruining our birthday plan for my husband. Think twice if you are choosing them. Shame on you guys.

We had the pleasure of being served by Rodrigo at El Gaucho Winery, and he truly elevated our experience! From the moment we arrived, Rodrigo was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He guided us through the menu with excellent recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. Each suggestion he made was spot-on, and his passion for the winery’s offerings was contagious. We felt genuinely taken care of and appreciated his attention to every detail throughout our meal. If you’re visiting El Gaucho, ask for Rodrigo—you won’t be disappointed. We can’t wait to return!!

The Red Malbec and the white Torrontes wa amazing !! We smash both bottles and took some home.

The Owner share his experience he bought the property 2014 . It's a great little hideaway. Swing by if in the area. At night would be a great experience if in the area.

First time at this winery and would highly recommend El Gauchos. The food and service was awesome. We had the steak and fresh cod with wine. The entire experience was overwhelmingly fantastic. All food is cooked on an outdoor grill adding to the flavor. We don’t live in the area but would definitely go back. ???

Nice place and very nice service. Empanadas were very good, they only had them fried, they said they used to have them baked as well but no longer, I hope they bring baked option back as baked empanadas are amazing. The ceviche was also nice. We had the sirloin, portion was good but overcooked even though we ordered medium. The wine was very good. Wine is imported from Mendoza, Argentina. The quality was amazing. The site is nice, and nice views as well.

Amazing food! Seriously. The ceviche is amazing the sirloin is amazing the empanadas are amazing.

Their Malbec and Cabernet wines are soooo delicious. You'll be a huge fan of the Argentinian wines.

They have indoor and out door seating in a very relaxed environment with gorgeous views.

This is a true hidden gem.
