Little dive bar that claims to have live music every night. We were there on a Sunday afternoon/evening around 6 pm and they had live music for about 20 min. Not sure if another band was coming later. Food was ok. Nothing special. We had onion rings as an appetizer with well drinks, and ordered the chicken fried steak with fries for the main meal. Well drinks were good and cheaper than I expected.
The food was tasty, the band (the West Texas Exiles) was an exceptional eclectic country rock band featuring mostly original songs with a couple covers done in their own style and sound, and the service was above and beyond the highest expectations. If you want to experience a fantastic little hill country honky Tonk, Poodies is Quintessentially Texas!
