“We ordered the spicy galbi wings, galbi wings, Cole slaw, sweet potato fries, fried dumplings. This was our first time eating at this location. We’ve eaten at bbq Korean chicken in Austin, Katy, and in the Houston area. Their wings never fail. You can taste their freshness (not the reheated taste)and they are served hot. They’re crispy and the galbi sauce is delicious. The sweet potato fries could’ve been crispy and less burnt. The fried dumplings had great taste and they were fried just right! And oh!! They have Soju!!🥳“

“Came here for some KBBQ and it was fine although we were a bit rushed and had our food cooked for us which was a little weird but it did taste good. Also got a separate dish on the side, the Cheese Buldak which was so so spicy but so so good. We were all almost crying but the flavor was so amazing we couldnt stop eating.“

“The taste is so good. I have been eating this soup for more than 10 years, but I’ve been a customer here for 2 years.
Sometimes when I order extra spicy online, I receive regular spicy. I always pay $1 extra for extra spicy because I really love spicy food.
One day when I ordered extra spicy at the restaurant, the waitress explained to me twice that it’s already spicy. I understand she was just worried about me 😊
But since there is an extra spicy option and customers choose extra spicy, please make it extra spicy. When I get the wrong spice level, I can’t enjoy the food because it doesn’t meet my taste level.“

They’re both incredibly flavorful, but what sets this place apart for me is their extra crispy option. If you ask for it, they make the chicken extra crispy, which makes a world of difference in taste and texture. The crunch is just perfect without being too greasy, and the flavor seeps through every bite.
Another thing I appreciate is how consistently fresh the chicken is. You can tell that they take pride in the quality of their ingredients. The meat is always tender, and the skin is seasoned to perfection. “Great environment! I came for my graduation celebration with friends, and I really liked how much room I had to calmly eat and just enjoy being out of high school. Food was good, ice cream was great, the staff was kind and patient!“

“Visited on New Year’s Eve. The Korean food is bold, authentic, and well seasoned, with a great variety of drinks. Soju is a must. Later at night there was a DJ, good music, and a fun vibe that made eating and drinking very enjoyable. The crowd was mostly younger people living abroad or locals who grew up here.
One small downside was the reservation system. I initially booked a regular table, but it was later canceled because they only accept reservations for karaoke rooms. To be fair, the table option was removed from the system afterward. Luckily, we walked in around 8 pm and had no problem getting a table, as the place really starts filling up closer to 9:30 or 10 pm.
Overall, still a lively and enjoyable spot, especially later at night.“

“My review will be somewhat biased because I’ve been coming here for years with my Dad since it’s so close to work and it’s relatively unknown. It’s a no frills restaurant/convenience store. The original owner used to cook all the dishes herself but with age, she’s trusted the restaurants to her stewards who have been with her for decades. They’ve done a great job continuing the cooking technics and quality of taste. The kimchi is still made fresh in-house as are all their banchan. I’ve had everything on the menu but never took pictures. Their braised short ribs are so succulent. Their jjampong, although not filled with as much seafood as in the past, is still solid and the taste is nostalgic for me. Spicy yet flavorful. All their dishes are solid. Still a favorite of mine, when I need a quick and home cooked meal.“
“When shopping we have stopped in to grab a bite to eat a few times & enjoyed it each time. The bulgogi bbq, tteokbokki & mandu are all pretty good. They are a little pricey but not so pricey that we won't order, haha. Tasty snacks.“

“Have been here for several times! Food is legit and authentic! Service is good too! The Jokbal and Bossam are “must-order”s. Kukbam and haejuntang are also yummy. Big portion with decent price - I can’t see any complaints about this place.
I saw that most bad reviews were about the “slow service “ during the soft opening, which I also have experienced the 1st time I stepped into this restaurant. BUT now they are extremely professional and friendly! Way to go JangChoongDong!“

“Went around 5 for an early dinner on Friday. Was quiet and only a few people. Our server was Anny and she was the server of all servers. Her attitude was so positive it was contagious. The food was prompt and delicious. Will definitely come back.“

“So i had to come here after the other one turned me away during business hours. I get it young dude didn't want to clean the fryer again but dude it was 18 minutes before close.
This one though. Top notch. One guy working and i out my order in but didn't get a number. Told him and he saw the printer wasn't working. Asked me my order and took my name so he could call me up when ready. Also he fixed the printer and was answering all the people's questions while cooking.
Probably 15 people here at the time. He did a great job. Guess i will drive a little further to get these when i want one.“
