“Seems like a family own business. Walk up to the counter, order, they bring you food but will also check on you periodically. They have a wide selection but I decided on the falafel combo. The pita is nice and soft, falafel is also nicely cooked.I personally do not eat a lot of salt so I found the fries salty but the people there are so accommodating that the next time I go and ask for no salt they probably will make the arrangements. Definitely on my go to list when I don’t feel like cooking.“
“The food is sooo good! I tried Kase kabob and it was soo delicious! The owners are two ladies! Very hospitable and nice! As a woman I admire them to run a beautiful cute restaurant with high quality food! If you want authentic tase go for this restaurant!“
“The ABSOLUTE BEST Persian food in Texas-arguably the best Persian food I’ve had anywhere. Family run with some of the kindest people I know. Always there with a smile and I’m happy to come back multiple times a month. A must try (even if there’s a wait-as there often is as the love for this place has grown) when you’re in the area! 100/10 would recommend!“
“This place recently extended and remodeled interior. Their lamb chop is pretty good, one of the top 5? in Houston, I will say. Kabab's good too. They serve the main dishes over the yellow rice and the amount of rice is alot! If you are planning to visit this place you have to be prepared. haha~ They have so many tables and I was sitted near the end and was hard to get server's attention. They should pay more attention to end/coner tables.“
“When I think of Persian, I think of Reza. Succulent and juicy lamb shank, cornucopia of tender grilled meats, pillowy flat breads, aromatic rice complemented by cranberries, and refreshing lemonade. Service is always amazing and a shout out to Kasra and team!“
“This place really surprised me! The food was excellent and flavorful, with distinct notes of Persian and regional spices. It's been a while since I had authentic food from that region, and it was delightful. Food was 9/10 with the only thing not hitting the spot for me was the soup, which is my own preference and kot necessarily a problem with the dish. Kebabs were excellent and the lamb shank cooked to perfection. I especially enjoyed the rice options, with the cranberry mixed rice with sweet fruits to be my favorite! Strongly recommend trying this place out if you're into authentic Persian food.“
“I’ve been coming here for 25 years and it doesn’t disappoint! Admittedly - it fell out of my rotation a few years back - but they don’t miss a beat. Still delicious food! I always get a kebab combo - this time beef and shrimp - with the must have dill rice (add butter - you’ll thank me!)Love that they serve bread and herbs to every table. Typically add hummus or another dip to go with. One minor thought - they fresh bread is now crispy. It was originally more fluffy and soft, which is my preference.Their iced tea is out of this world - delicious. In previous visits I’ve tried various desserts - including the Persian ice cream. Always delish!“
“This is by far the best Afghan food I’ve ever had. I’ve eaten Afghan food all over the US. All of them were good. But, this was far superior. We ordered quite a few dishes, including beef, chicken, and lamb items. Everything was cooked to perfection. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!“
“They have the best tea. The iced variation was a little bit disappointing- what happened? The food is consistently top notch. I had the flounder. I generally do not like or have rice - but they have something special going on there. Delicious.“
“Great service from honest people !Visited Bijan during iftar to treat my parents who were visiting from overseas. The food and kebabs were excellent. The manager was very kind, despite the rush during iftar. The next day I discovered I had lost my wallet and was looking everywhere for it. I was not expecting to find it again but decided to swing by the restaurant to look for it. Turns out the manager found it the previous night when it fell out of my pocket and onto the floor.I grateful for the service and hospitality of Persians and Houstonians.“
“The Pakwan Restaurant is a great place to dine. Super delicious is the food. I just want to close my eyes and dream, while dining. The quality and taste is amazing. For one thing, the restaurant offers great consultation and suggestions, especially on family meals. Also, the welcoming atmosphere is always appreciated.“
“This restaurant is inside the grocery store, Awami Markas. Which is very small only about three aisles or four aisles of grocery items, predominantly frozen, canned foods or boxes. The food is made to order. It’s probably ideal to have his takeout, although there was one circular table with four chairs. The food tasted delicious. However, if I got the beef burger in the future, I’d ask it without ranch salad dressing just because I’m not a fan.I’d highly recommend the food and probably easier to order it ahead of time and then go pick it up. I ended up ordering it while I was there in the grocery store and had to wait around a gentleman that was running. The cash register was friendly and helpful however he wasn’t from Abdullah‘s kitchen. He was an employee for the grocery store.“
