Friendly staff, very good food with exceptional fries, restaurant was very clean! My brother and I had dinner n visited for 3 hrs and staff didn't rush us and were nice to check on us.
I seldom ever eat in Sulphur Springs because I'm a gluten, dairy and sugar free eater. But, I can eat at Soulman's! The Double Barrel with meat and a baked potato without dairy products is my go-to. I've had brisket, chicken, turkey, and sausage without any issues. And, the people that work there are super friendly. They always provide excellent service!
Stopped in on the fly, I was surprised the food had an ALMOST side of the road appeal to it, for a chain spot. To me there is just no way a commercial chain can produce that smokey cooked flavor without doing it. Soulmans gets a second look from me going forward. I had a 3 meat plate that was pretty hearty but I guess you h a ve to ask for or pay for bread bc it didn't come on the plate.
