Great for all ages! This place is an absolute delight. The BEST homemade ice cream you will ever eat. Excellent variety of flavors. Very gracious with inclusions. You will not have to dig around for them! Lots of neat items to look at in the store as well. They offer games to play during your visit (on most of the tables and upstairs lofts). This is one stop you can’t miss!!!

The Magic Scoop General Store in downtown Sulphur Springs, Texas, is a delightful fusion of nostalgic charm and culinary creativity. Housed in a beautifully restored two-story building, this establishment offers more than homemade ice cream; it provides an experience. With over 25 unique flavors made on-site, including inventive options like sweet potato caramel praline and toasted black sesame with cream cheese swirl, there's something to tantalize every palate.

Magic Scoop is often a weekly visit! With my daughter and I having a dairy and gluten allergy the staff is always on top of cleaning a scoop for us and making sure there is no cross contamination! And let me tell you the Coconut Oreo is to die for! It really is a treat to have a place in town that we can go have dessert that is dairy and gluten free! We are super thankful for Magic Scoop!

I love this ice cream shop! A lot of various items to shop for, like, cute pens, rings, keychains, candy, fudge and the cherry on top, ice cream! My son loved the mango dairy free and I am hooked on the banana pudding and ginger snap ice cream. I look forward to going back.

I stopped at Magic Scoop with my toddler son for ice cream and a coffee for me and was extremely pleased with the experience. Their homemade ice cream was amazing. My son ate every drop of his mango sorbet, and I loved the double stuff cookies and cream that I had. It was creamy, chocolately, and had the perfect level of sweetness- you can taste the quality and craft in their ice cream.

I'm a sucker for coffee and ice cream together. Typically, the coffee you buy at an ice cream shop... well, it isn't the best. Magic Scoop, though? I bought a latte, and it was delicious. Strong coffee taste, smoothly steamed milk, A+.

The service was friendly and efficient, and the counter staff were happy to provide ice cream samples and answer questions. The shop is a little on the pricier side (a little under $5 for a single scoop cup and $5.75 for a regular latte), but the quality is there.

When I'm in Sulphur Springs again, I will definitely stop by!

This place is great. It has something for everyone. The ice cream is pricey but it is a great place to hang out or have a birthday party for kids and you don't have to make a reservation or pay extra.

Kid-friendliness: They have all sorts of toys and fun things for kids to play with. Board games and trinkets that are on the tables

After a delicious lunch at the wonderful restaurant next door (Corner Grub House) we took a wander thru this ice cream shop. Stopped at the ice cream counter just to browse but the flavors were so intriguing we just had to try some. Kentucky Bourbon Vanilla, and Espresso Coffee, definitely adult flavors and oh soo good. Rich, smooth, creamy, and the flavorings were pronounced, not washed out like some ice creams. Beats the pants off anything you can get at the grocery store. I'm so spoiled now.

Best ice cream I’ve had in Texas. Homemade and done right!
Expect high prices here. 2 valomilk candies and a regular ice cream was 16 bucks

Really great ice-cream & staff. owner Adam, (well his wife is the true owner lol) does make the many of the ice cream in-house. Coffee / espresso ice cream in chocolate cone is what I went for (as I prefer not overly sweet). Their pistachio , variety of cheescake ice creams, banana pudding & salted caramel are all top notch (I sampled them).

This is a great place for you to take the whole family for some great treats. We went with another family and we enjoyed browsing through the store looking at all the different novelties they have avaliable. We then had some of their fabulous homemade ice cream that they make themselves! I had strawberry and it was so fresh, light and creamy. We (adults) then sat at one of the tables while the teens explored and enjoyed the upstairs game room. If you haven't tried this quaint, friendly, home town novelty and ice cream store you're missing out.
