First time there a few weeks ago and as soon I walked in I was like hey, this use to be a Pizza Hut. Good food and good service, but the hot sauce gotta be a little more hot and thick.

This is my favorite place to go for a taco fix.
Taco Carbon or Crispy Tacos... Do both...
But also try the Queso Compesto.

El Sombrero Tapatio is a typical, small Mexican restaurant with traditional dishes, plus some surprising ones. My husband had mentioned, while I tried a new dish called Queso Flameado. If you follow me, you know I love cheese, and this was literally a skillet of melted cheese with a choice of meat and Pico de Gallo. It was delicious. If you want to treat yourself, give it a try.
Had the eggs rancho, the food was made the way I like it, crispy potatoes, the beans were fine, the eggs, and salsa was a good combo, not too spicy. The coffee had a nice flavor. The only downside is that the tortillas were store bought.

It's been forever long since I could find a taco place that made tacos just the way they do back home! This might be my new favorite taco place. 🥰😋 I only ordered out, but I can't wait to dine in and try out the rest of the menu!! 💙
First time here. It was so good. Waitress was very good. She came back numerous times asking if we needed anything. Very pleasant. Will definitely be back.

I love the food here. We always stop while traveling to San Antonio from Dallas. It's never disappointed. The food is so good and prices are unbelievable. Always hot and fresh. The outside has recently been redone and hopefully the inside can use a little more character. It looks just fine tho because the food and service make up for the looks. I recommend 100%
