Hickory Roots BBQ Reviews
Don’t let the appearance of the building fool you. The food here is excellent! We travel 45 minutes to the peach orchard and always look forward to stopping here for lunch! Excellent food, big portions!!
Great place for BBQ in Terrell!
The taste of the bbq is great but the service sucks! whoever works the evening shift slicing the meat needs to be taught how. and the difference between meat for chopped beef and sliced beef. also who eats a crap load of fat? we are very disappointed in our food, definitely not $30 worth. we will not be back unfortunately due to this place can't seem to get it right.

Hickory Roots BBQ offers a welcoming atmosphere with delicious ribs, brisket, ham, chicken, and pulled pork. The Mac n cheese and beans are a hit, along with a salad bar. The staff is friendly and caring, making customers feel at home. While the building may seem a bit dated, the excellent food quality makes up for it. Known for their tender and juicy ribs, it's a great spot for families and rib enthusiasts looking for big portions. The employees are astronomical, ambitious, and conscientious. The barbecue is excellent, with Dale the BBQ Pitmaster providing the best barbecue. The service is very great, and they allowed a puppy in a secluded room. The sliced Brisket, Jalapeño Sausage, Ribs, Potato salad, Macaroni & Cheese, and Green beans were tasted good. The BBQ sauce was good and not spicy. The sandwich was excellent with a role that was very unique, soft, and mouth watering while the BBQ pork was robust and supple. The chicken was amazing and full of flavor. The green beans were also very tasty, seasoned just right and cooked perfectly. Every detail shows how much care they put into their food and service.
