Hard Eight Pit BBQ Reviews
Stopped by Hard Eight this weekend. By far the best BBQ I’ve had to date. This is coming from someone who has lived in the Southern East coast. Variety of different meats, pretty expensive but absolutely worth every penny. We purchased the brisket, ribeye, jalapeño and cheese sausage and sirloin. All was extremely juicy and not over cooked. Staff were extremely helpful. Will definitely come back!
I love this restaurant! So of course we needed to have our rehearsal dinner here on 4/12/24. Hannah and Ashley were great to work with! We had the private room, which was amazing! Food and service was top notch!
What amazing food and service. They catered my daughter’s graduation party and did an amazing job! Planning a party living out of town isn’t always easy…they made it so easy. Thanks so much!

Hard Eight Pit BBQ offers exceptional BBQ, with standout dishes including the best brisket, sirloin, and ribeye. The atmosphere is classic Texas BBQ—casual, rustic, and focused on the food. From the moment guests walk up to the open pit, they know they're in for something special. The brisket is perfectly smoked and melt-in-your-mouth tender, while the ribs are flavorful with just the right amount of char. The menu features a range of options, including sausage, corn, and mac and cheese, though some items like beans and ham may not appeal to everyone. The jalapeño sausage brings a nice kick, and shrimp poppers are a fun, tasty surprise. Everything is juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection.
The staff is friendly and provides good service, with a special mention of the floor management, who is attentive and willing to ensure customer satisfaction. Generous portions and bold flavors make this spot a favorite for many. The fried okra and sausage are popular choices, while the brisket continues to impress. Parking is free but can be tricky to find. Overall, this Dallas restaurant is a must-try, with loyal customers raving about the food and the authentic BBQ experience, promising to return for more.
