1st time we visited, a weekend afternoon, we were the only customers. Our “Coconut Crack” drink for two was aptly named. It was delicious and we knew we’d come back for more. Jump to tonight: Saturday 12:20AM and they greet us saying they closed already due to no customers for the last hour. Well, that sucked since I hoped for at least 1 tiki drink to close the night, but no dice.Makes me question any other time I may come in.

It's got tiki decorations and yummy drinks, but they're mostly on draft and so it's not really the full tiki bar experience some enthusiasts would maybe expect (certain ingredients, fire, fancy cups, etc). The atmosphere is super cute though, and I was happy with the service. Worth checking out if you're a local or already wandering the truck yard

The seclusion of the tiki bar made it feel like a hidden gem, a secret escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was a place where I could truly unwind and relax. The attention to detail in creating this oasis was evident in every aspect, from the hand-carved wooden fixtures to the carefully selected music that transported me to an island paradise.Overall, my experience at this secluded tiki bar was nothing short of extraordinary. The incredible atmosphere, combined with the impeccable service and tantalizing drinks, made it an unforgettable destination. If you’re looking for a place to escape to and immerse yourself in a tropical haven, this tiki bar is an absolute must-visit.

Just terrible. Located within Truckyard, it's a slightly more dimly lit space with about a dozen chairs. Drinks start at about $12, and they are 'draft' drinks, meaning that they come out of a tap on the counter (not mixed). Hugely unsatisfying beverages charged at a premium, largely watered-down, bartenders weren't unfriendly, but not attentive. Quite possibly the worst tiki bar I've ever been to. Swizzle on Greenville in Dallas is far superior.

Of course The Colony or Frisco would take something usually interesting and unique and make it lame and corporatized. I went to this bar on a pretty dead Saturday night after a gig. I requested a common tiki drink that even non-tiki bartenders know and the bartender said she wasn't allowed to make it because management only allow drinks on the menu? So I chose one of the drinks on tap after looking through the menu and none of the house drinks sounded good. It came out in 5 seconds and was served in a plastic cup with an umbrella. There was an impressive amount of tiki mugs but none of the drinks were being served in them, or even creatively garnished glassware at the least. Reading the menu it literally said the bar only serves drinks on the menu and to go to other bars around the Truck Yard for other drinks. I've been to tiki bars all around the world (Mexico City, LA, Honolulu) and two in DFW and this was a major disappointment. The drink on tap tasted flat, not fresh, overly sweet, and carbonated for some reason. Tiki bars are about the whole experience ending in a tasty well crafted drink that I don't mind waiting 10 mins for. The bartender was nice

Fun place for a drink! And cute hang out spots too Drinks are strong and flavorful. It's true the main beverages are made ahead and on tap rather than made to order, this does not cause them to be of lower quality. Find out for yourself it's worth the visit. The also have private hangout rooms to play cards or sing karaoke. I repeat fun place!

Never open. We've tried on 4 separate occasions & every single time the bar is closed.First time we went on a Sunday night. Tried the following Sunday, also closed. Third time we went on a Monday night. Closed. The fourth time I had called ahead & was told that the bar is closed Monday-Wednesday, so we went on a Thursday night around 8:30 & spoiler alert: closed. I called the main line & was told they close it early if business is slow. They said we could go to the main bar, but they don't sell the tiki drinks there.I'd really like to try this place, but you guys aren't making it easy for us.I will update if we actually find it open, but I'm not holding my breath at this point.

I'm a huge tikifile, so it's super exciting to have a little tiki bar close to home. I was very concerned however, when I saw that all of the drinks were premade and either came out of frozen drink dispensers or a tap system. However, the drinks were really good! The bartender was great, the score was fun... I hope this place sticks around forever. We'll be back!

If you decide to work at a bar please learn how to be friendly. Or if you're a manager please teacher employees how to be friendly. The lady working there was not nice and she definitely didn't want to answer any questions and she seem like she was just there just to be there. I'll will not go back again.

Honestly the BEST tiki bar in the Dallas area. The decor is beyond any other in the area. The service is GREAT! Rob and Jori are the reason we come here. They know my love of Don Pappa and there's always one waiting. The BBC are really delicious as well. But seriously the rum selection is amazing. Better than anywhere I've been. And I'm a tiki phile. It's nice being in the truck yard too as there's always food nearby, something other tiki bars lack. Plus it's lively. There's a huge crowd being the truck yard so conversations are abound!

Such a cute little hidden gem! Part of the massive Truck Yard in the Colony, if you were not paying attention, you'd probably miss this cozy little hula shack adjacent to the Beard Science Sour House. But don't miss out on the fun..They have tropical cocktails on tap! - the Mai Tai and the Painkiller are my two favoritesAnd if you like frozen drinks, they've got you coveredIf rum isn't your style they have plenty of whiskey offerings as well as beer and a full bar. It's a lovely little air conditioned break from the Texas heat of the Truck Yard..Because it's all related, you can start a tab at any of the TY buildings and keep the tab going throughout the complex so even if you're with others not really into cocktails with Polynesian flair, make the rounds to fully experience all that TY complex has to offer. On the back side of the lounge, they have karaoke rooms and poker rooms for rent with bottle service available for your special events or just a fun night out... Service is always friendly and amazing and even though I've only been a couple times, I already have been made to feel like a welcome hoaloha..
