“I will start with the good: - Great quality coffee! - Very varied selection of single origins from the best coffee producing countries! - Prices are excellent! Now unfortunately I will have to point out the bad, which led me to deduct one star from the review: - No roast information on their single origin bags, forcing me to guess if it is closer to dark or light roast based on the flavor notes; - They don’t disclose the roast date on their coffee bags, only expiration month; - According to the very friendly cashier at their shop, which is next to the roastery, they roast their coffees daily. Unfortunately that doesn’t reflect the freshness of their coffee for in-person sale. They advised me that the expiration date is 6 months from the roast date. Checking their bags made me realize that some bags are 3-4(!) months old. To wrap up: I understand that they are running a business, and are trying to sell their coffee that is still drinkable, but way past it’s prime. But some people (myself included) go to specialty roasters to buy the best possible coffee quality. I would really appreciate being offered a freshly roasted bag when I specifically asked for that, even though I am not purchasing it online for delivery.“

“Nestled in a shopping center hidden under the new part of Rayford road, this is an amazing find for true coffee lovers. Roasting beans daily, Jovi is the coffee passion project of John and his wife Violet and features specialty coffees so good you can forgo cream and sugar. The place look deserted when I arrived but a quick call connected me with John who let me know his wife was in residence and would happily show me their wares. Violet gave me a tour of the roaster, explained the various coffee beans in house. She gave me a glimpse of future plans including bigger quantities of beans sold at a better price. Truth be told pricing was spot on given how fresh the product is. While you can buy Jovi on Amazon and even through their website, having them in town ensures the freshest roast and some great conversation with the owners. I ended up with a bag of Marcala and their holiday blend featuring beans from Honduras and Antigua. The owners have traveled to the region and learned the preparation process there. Run, people, this is a gift.“

“Great place to buy green (un-roasted) coffee beans. Large selection and friendly service. Although they sell to professional roasters and coffee shops, they also cater to the little guys like me who do it for fun (and attempt to save some money in the long run). As expected though, the larger your order is per pound, the more you'll save (I.e 50 lb bag is way cheaper than a 1 lb bag). It'll make sense to buy in bulk and find friends/family who would want to split with you to save money. Location is in the middle of nowhere, but it makes sense since it's mostly a warehouse with a small reception area. Although you can purchase online, I like to browse in person and try whatever sample(s) they are offering that day. The bags they sell in the reception area are just some of their offerings. Check out their website for a complete list. The receptionist was kindly able to grab a small bag of the beans from the warehouse that I requested. The roasted beans that they offer oddly have the expiration date rather than roast date. This is surprising to me because the roast date dramatically affect the quality of espressos. For espressos, I recommend sticking with green beans and roasting yourself. They offer tasting classes for a fee, but not all the time. Check out their website for available class dates. Receptionist was very nice, helpful, and friendly. She was still very new at her role and was learning about coffee and beans from the beginning. Best of luck to her caffeinated journey!“

“From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted by the tantalizing aroma of freshly roasted beans and the welcoming atmosphere that permeates every corner of the establishment. Upon my recent visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Sidney, a barista whose passion for coffee is as infectious as it is inspiring. Sidney not only served up a delicious cup of joe but also took the time to guide me through the intricate process of brewing with a Chemex.“

“Best place to get coffee. I've tried most of the menu and am always impressed. It's hard to explain how moon milk makes the difference but it does. They have different levels of sweet as well to match all pallets. I've never had to wait long and the staff has always been top notch. They have candles, shirts, hats and all kinds of things to purchase as well as coffee.Dietary restrictions: Several choices of milk and options to fit most dietary needs.Kid-friendliness: I've never been there and not seen family. This is the perfect environment for a laid back get together.Wheelchair accessibility: Absolutely plenty of tables and counter access as well. Easy in and out.“

“I was maybe in that store for 5 minutes and I'm already obsessed. Coffee itself tastes great, not too bitter, although personally I think I'll still order my next cold brew with a bit of sweetener added, and you know it's good strong coffee when you feel it go right to your head ? but the best part was the atmosphere. It's everything starbucks wishes it was, clean, cozy, quiet and relaxing. I felt a genuine sense of peace going in there, and the lovely young lady working was very nice walking me through how ordering there works. Despite how inconvenient the location is for me, having to make a loop around the Grand Parkway to get there from home, I think it's worth to 20 minute drive to get there for such a nice experience. I'll definitely be a regular here.“
