They brought me to Gloria's...(I know, start singing Laurie Branigan or Van Morrison)We got there right around 11:30, and it's a good thing we did...ALL the locals know about it..."Let the Lunch Rush Begin!!" You walk in and walk to the back where you place your order at the counter. There are booths on each side of the walls. Tables in the center. You get your beverage cup there and fill up while you stand there ... I gotta tell you their sweet tea is brewed and sweeten just right. I think I had 4 glasses before I left.They have patty melts, hot dogs, frito pie, chicken sandwiches... but the BURGERS are what they are known for...I told her to surprise me..5 minutes passed, and all 3 baskets of food were ready..Hot and toasted!! My nephew and I got burgers, and sis got a patty melt. My burger was a cheese burger with jalapeños... man, it was so deeelllicccious! The bun crunching as you bit into it and the flavor of the burger ...Wow! My mouth is watering just thinking about it writing this...*snap* snap* Back to reality.If you want a place that is down to earth and not expecting anything fancy for the restaurant.. but wanting good taste for the food and a hometown feel... this is the place !!“

“This was my first time visiting Mr Burger and it was a really good experience! I used the drive thru and ordered a corn dog, fried okra and a diet cherry vanilla dr pepper. It was happy hour, so my drink was 1/2 off ( Happy Hour is 3-4) As I was pulling up to the first window, a young fella poked his head out and smiled and waved me over. He was very friendly and just so precious! Whatever Mr Burger is paying him is not enough! I paid for my food and was given my drink and instructed to go around to the next window to pick up my order. As I was waiting, I took a sip of my drink and I kid you not, the flavor sent me back in time! Not sure what cherry juice they're using but it tasted like it used to when I was a kid! Not like the fake stuff you get at other places. That was the best diet cherry vanilla dp I've had in a long time! I received my order and headed on my way. The corndog was just a corndog, but it was hot and fresh. I didn't think to ask for mustard but it was still delicious. The fried okra was so hot and fresh and tasty! I might ask next if they can make them a little crisper but they were still excellent! I hope to go back soon and try a burger. And I'm already thinking about that drink!“

“There are two locations in Abilene. Personally, the location on the south side of town is the only one I will go to, even though it means adding an extra 10 minutes one way to my drive. Excellent service, friendly staff, consistently great food, and basic things like napkins, Heff’s sauce, and tea are always accessible and kept in good supply.“

“I just wanna brag on Chelsea's Burgers N' Brew as well as our waitress Erica today. We only come here maybe once a month but we love this place. Today was the first time we’ve been on a Sunday afternoon while the Cowboys are on as we usually go when it’s slower. Place was packed and the staff was swamped and might have been down a person or two in the kitchen. What matters most in times like those are how the restaurant staff handles it! Our waitress Erica was super friendly and professional and after us having to wait around an hour between our appetizer and finally getting our meals, Erica told us that she was gonna comp my wife and I’s two meals and we hadn’t even complained or anything. These local restaurants don’t HAVE to do that, y’all! Any chain restaurant and possibly other locals might have just had you pay any way like “deal with it.” So grateful for that customer service! Food was incredible as well! My wife enjoyed her burger and I highly enjoyed my Walk of Shame brunch dish (first time trying their brunch.) Much love to this place!!“

“It's a great place to relax and have a cold beer or a shot of whiskey at good prices. The atmosphere is casual and so are the games of billiards. I think on Thursday's there is a pool league at Breaker's. There is still room for non league players to enjoy the evening with cold beer and darts as well. I enjoy my time there every time I go!“

“ordered 2 double crown and Sprite. Top shelf, not .75 cent well drink. But probably the worst mixed drink I have ever had. The little bartender that was polite at first till I told her my drink sucked, started to get a little rude. Then I got the owner involved, told him my drink sucked. He went and poured a little more Crown in it, but still sucked. By then the bartender girl had a bad attitude. My cousin finished her drink, not sure how, I drank MAYBE 1/4 of my drink, then wiped my mouth and tongue to get that taste out of my mouth, threw napkin in dink and left. Got nothing but attitude from owner and bartender. WONT be going back in there, and maybe that's why there was maybe 10 people there. DONT waist your money or time. Trust me I learned the hard way.“

I highly recommend supporting the open mic nights. You don’t have to be a pro or seasoned singer. It’s kind of like karaoke with a live band plus the band performs songs in between.
