Brunos is neither the first nor the last Italian place I'd eat at. It's perfectly acceptable. Good food, average environment. Nothing I'd bring guests to the area in raving about how it's the best place ever, but for a family of locals on a Friday night. Great. A wonderful way to support local. Not anything innovative. But who goes to Italian restaurants to be surprised?
Best pizza in Tyler, TX. I prefer the original Bruno’s location and that is where I usually dine. We had 2 different pizzas and both were excellent. Highly recommend their house salad with creamy Italian to start. Simple but super fresh. One added plus here is it is BYOB so bring you favorite wine or beer to enjoy with your pizza.
...so, when my wife had surgery in Tyler and wanted pizza, I wanted to order take out from Bruno's on S. Vine. Their phones were out, so I drove over to order. The staff were pleasant and I took my seat to wait. As soon as it was ready I paid and slipped it into my thermostat to keep it hot for my 7 minute drive to the hospital. So far so good.
