I ordered off a group of friends getting food, and I am beyond HAPPY AND SURPRISED i didn’t know about this place! I had the Oxtail plate with Greens and Black Eye Peas, everything was perfectly seasoned!!! I will Definitely become a regular!!👌🏻

Stopped by Sum2Eat and ordered the fish plate with greens and beans, plus peach cobbler for dessert and a lemonade — and everything was absolutely delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly, the sides were flavorful, and that peach cobbler was the perfect sweet finish. The lemonade tied it all together. You can tell the food is made with care, and I definitely enjoyed every bite. I’ll absolutely be back!

The food was VERY MEDIOCRE, the pork chops tasted like flesh with a little season. Yuck!!

The candied yams were bland.
The green beans was the only thing on the plate to stand out.

The lady forced me to get 2 pork chops. DONT do it.
1 pork chops is $9!!

The KOOL AID tasted like a child made it. It was bland and powdery tasting.

This place NEEDS WORK. IVE been to real soul food spots in the cities. They would laugh at this bland food.

Im not going back. My plate was $29! For a 2 pork chops plate. He'll no Dont Go!

The staff was so friendly and I only spent about $20 on a good size portion of food with a drink and dessert, all of which was SO GOOD! 10/10 will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Definitely one of those little hidden ETX gems ♥️♥️♥️

Outstanding food prepared the way it was done 100 years ago. This restaurant is a true gem for East Texas. The best southern cooking I have ever experienced.
