“After a hot day swimming at Balmorhea (and in advance of climbing Guadalupe the next day), my girlfriend and I were in need of mass quantities of carbohydrates (shout out Beldar!). We popped into Cactus Cantina in Van Horn, and let's just say we had the most amazing time. What a bar! Great sports on the television screens, friendly bartenders, and an incredibly eclectic crowd (including some very interesting people who work at the local aerospace organization). The appetizers were fantastic, the perfect sports pub greasy snack. The bar had a very broad selection of everything, and I even had two shots of liqueurs I had never previously tried. The wonderful finale of the evening was a large pepperoni and jalapeno pizza we took back to our hotel across the street: magnificent! Great bar, guys, stay cool.“
“My go to pizza is Hawaiian. I've enjoyed them in scores of places over the years. This little place made one of the finest Hawaiian pizzas I have ever had.The thick crust was cooked perfectly and the sauce was the best I have ever had! Awesome pizza!“
