Baris is a local classic with reasonable prices. The dinner meals are quite good, especially the Stromboli. The cheese used in some dishes doesn't melt properly, but the sauce is tasty. The service is average, nothing memorable. For lunch, the special calzone, kids chicken parm, and Philly cheese steak are delicious. The garlic bread with cheese and tomatoes is a must-try, as well as the flavorful fettuccine alfredo with shrimp. The food is top-notch and full of flavor. Parking can be minimal and tight, so it's advised to arrive early. Visitors often find the specialty dinner dishes very large and perfect for sharing, with leftovers making great next-day snacks. Every meal comes with bread, which can be enjoyed while waiting, and the house (red) salad dressing makes a tasty dipping sauce. Since they don’t sell alcohol, guests are encouraged to bring their own wine to enjoy with their meal. The restaurant does not play music, so diners can hear every other typical restaurant sound along with their neighbor’s conversation. It’s recommended to visit outside of lunch and dinner rush times, as parking can be limited. Parking across Valley Mills Drive on the neighborhood street is an option, but parking next door will result in towing. The restaurant offers a variety of vegetarian options, especially many eggplant dishes. Overall, Baris offers excellent, flavorful Italian food in a cozy atmosphere, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
