This cafe achieves its mission well to build bridges among Waco community. Atmosphere is inviting, great for solo dates or group dates, considering that they provide both books (great selections) and games.
I tried their hojicha banana latte. The teas are definitely premium sourced, though I was a bit surprised with the actual banana chunks in the drinks. Perhaps they should reconsider adding the fruits, the banana flavor became too strong and slightly clash with the hojicha, though I appreciate the creativity.
This place can improve with overall cleanliness feel. Not bad, just bothered me that there were flies.
Excited to go back and try their food and boba, and supporting Asian-owned business!

I never thought that in the small town of Waco, you can drink fresh handmade pearls.
The tea is delicious and you can adjust the sweetness
The store is very comfortable and has a wide selection of drinks
Handmade pearls, a must order, highly recommended

Lots of people come for the tea (which is lovely), but the food is delicious!
This is my favorite place to eat in Waco. I can order anything on the menu and thoroughly enjoy it, both drinks and food. I would eat here every single day. Plus, the atmosphere is top notch. Easiest 5 star review ever.

Came here after a disappointing experience at Kung Fu, I knew Waco Cha had my back. I never should've betrayed them and I have learned my lesson. Milky Way is the best as usual. Employees here are the best. Top Tier :)

We recently visited Cha Community in search of a new boba spot to support, intrigued by its high ratings and promise of authentic Asian flavors. However, our experience fell short of expectations. The lackluster customer service, bland drinks, and undercooked boba were disappointing. The cashier didn’t even acknowledge us when we came in and stayed silent until I ordered our first item. We received BBQ buns instead of the pork belly gua bao we ordered, though we understand this could have been a result of miscommunication. As for the Việt coffee and Pandan coconut milk tea, they were bland and tasted little like the flavors they were supposed to. It’s surprising considering coffee and Pandan are very strong flavors. As for the boba, they were so undercooked it was hard and dry in the middle. We were unable to finish our drinks because of this. While we hope this was just an off day for Cha Community, we felt compelled to share our honest feedback.

I graduated from Baylor two years ago and moved away, so a lot has changed. I used to be a regular at Waco Cha and often went there with my now-husband. So when I came back to Waco, I was excited to go to the farmers' market and drink the boba.
I always order the same thing, which is Jasmine Milk Tea but the boba tea doesn't taste like how it was AT ALL. It tasted like water with a bit of flavor. I could not help but feel like a memory that I cherished was tainted. I was unbelievably disappointed.
This is the perfect lunch spot! There are lots of seating options across the store. You can easily order at the front and you get your food in under 5 minutes. I had the dumplings with rice and slaw. Everything was perfectly seasoned! The ingredients are high quality and fresh. A Waco and downtown staple!

I was able to visit the Waco for the 2nd time last December. I was super happy to know their service is the same as in Temple. I got my usual order of Tawainese Cold Noodles (get some and thank me later) and I waited for a little bit. I wanted to order in real time and not just ahead. It was a short wait. I ended buying some merch stuff. Cha Community's food fueled my pregnancy a couple years ago. I can't stop coming back. Their food and drinks are so good. The staff is always friendly! I will always visit either locations whenever I'm able to be in Texas and you should too!

I have been a Waco Cha fan since I started at Baylor in 2020. My roommate has been in the Cha Club since then. Today, we wanted to remake an old tradition of visiting Waco Cha before traveling on a road trip and had a negative encounter. We met Raymond, at the counter and were not greeted in any way. We ordered, grabbed our drink, and walked out. It took two sips to for my roommate who is deathly allergic to dairy to realize she received a drink with whole milk. After specifically asking for oat. That’s okay, because mistakes happen but it honestly seemed like he just didn’t care about the mishap. Additionally, after we sorted that out and started our travels I realized that I received no boba (the thing I went for in the first place) after we had driven away. My roommate after having two sips is in fact breaking out in itchy hives as we drive home. We don’t need consolation, but I am writing this so that this hopefully doesn’t happen for anyone else.I put a picture of my cup (drink finished as it tasted fine to show that I ordered boba and it was written on the cup)
Dietary restrictions: Dairy allergy was not very respected

Wow. Went here during lunch with my wife. We were pleasantly surprised! Definitely an underrated downtown Waco spot. Loved the dumpling box, the cucumber salad was so good and tasted so fresh! We also got dumpling soup and the strawberry matcha. There are tons of tables and they have a super nice mural painted on the wall!

Based on Google, this is the best milk tea shop in this area, and I would have to say yes since there’s not a lot of options. I was only visiting Waco and wanted to try Cha Community and their milk tea. I’m asian so I support Asian-owned business. The location was nice, it’s clean, plenty of seating, staff are friendly. The milk tea itself were good! I tried two.- Iced Matcha with Boba 10/10I love their matcha, it tastes high quality. The tapioca boba is also good!- Pandan Milk Coconut Tea 6/10I was so excited to see a familiar flavor that I grew up with. Pandan! However, I was disaappointed. It tasted like a canned coconut water drink, there was no creaminess or milky about it. I wanted to throw it away but because it’s almost $8 for this, I finished it but won’t recommend, and I am a coconut and pandan lover myself. I hope to come back and try maybe just adding the pandan flavored syrup to my matcha or regular brown sugar milk tea.- Takoyaki 6/10It’s not THAT bad, but I think how it was presented to me, it is more likely a frozen takoyaki from asian mart that you heat up in the microwave. It was flat on the other side rather than rounded all throughout. I also don’t know if they just ran out of the toppings but there was uneven amount of mayo/kewpie. Only one side of my takoyaki has mayo. Also, where is the bonito flakes??? It’s more like bonito dust! Because there were barely any. Who knows, maybe they ran out that day (Saturday lunch time 1pm)I also noticed there isn’t any Taro flavored drink? That’s like one of the essential flavors when you go to an Asian milk tea/boba shops. I’m surprised they have it as seasonal only. I hope they add Taro flavor as permanent on their menu. Overall, I’m just happy that there is something like this in Waco. Hope to see more unique and underrated Asian flavors!
