I have been a Waco Cha fan since I started at Baylor in 2020. My roommate has been in the Cha Club since then. Today, we wanted to remake an old tradition of visiting Waco Cha before traveling on a road trip and had a negative encounter. We met Raymond, at the counter and were not greeted in any way. We ordered, grabbed our drink, and walked out. It took two sips to for my roommate who is deathly allergic to dairy to realize she received a drink with whole milk. After specifically asking for oat. That’s okay, because mistakes happen but it honestly seemed like he just didn’t care about the mishap. Additionally, after we sorted that out and started our travels I realized that I received no boba (the thing I went for in the first place) after we had driven away. My roommate after having two sips is in fact breaking out in itchy hives as we drive home. We don’t need consolation, but I am writing this so that this hopefully doesn’t happen for anyone else.I put a picture of my cup (drink finished as it tasted fine to show that I ordered boba and it was written on the cup)Dietary restrictions: Dairy allergy was not very respected

Wow. Went here during lunch with my wife. We were pleasantly surprised! Definitely an underrated downtown Waco spot. Loved the dumpling box, the cucumber salad was so good and tasted so fresh! We also got dumpling soup and the strawberry matcha. There are tons of tables and they have a super nice mural painted on the wall!

Based on Google, this is the best milk tea shop in this area, and I would have to say yes since there’s not a lot of options. I was only visiting Waco and wanted to try Cha Community and their milk tea. I’m asian so I support Asian-owned business. The location was nice, it’s clean, plenty of seating, staff are friendly. The milk tea itself were good! I tried two.- Iced Matcha with Boba 10/10I love their matcha, it tastes high quality. The tapioca boba is also good!- Pandan Milk Coconut Tea 6/10I was so excited to see a familiar flavor that I grew up with. Pandan! However, I was disaappointed. It tasted like a canned coconut water drink, there was no creaminess or milky about it. I wanted to throw it away but because it’s almost $8 for this, I finished it but won’t recommend, and I am a coconut and pandan lover myself. I hope to come back and try maybe just adding the pandan flavored syrup to my matcha or regular brown sugar milk tea.- Takoyaki 6/10It’s not THAT bad, but I think how it was presented to me, it is more likely a frozen takoyaki from asian mart that you heat up in the microwave. It was flat on the other side rather than rounded all throughout. I also don’t know if they just ran out of the toppings but there was uneven amount of mayo/kewpie. Only one side of my takoyaki has mayo. Also, where is the bonito flakes??? It’s more like bonito dust! Because there were barely any. Who knows, maybe they ran out that day (Saturday lunch time 1pm)I also noticed there isn’t any Taro flavored drink? That’s like one of the essential flavors when you go to an Asian milk tea/boba shops. I’m surprised they have it as seasonal only. I hope they add Taro flavor as permanent on their menu. Overall, I’m just happy that there is something like this in Waco. Hope to see more unique and underrated Asian flavors!

When I walked in it smelled like “southeast Asia”. I got a really good almond chai with boba. It was really spicy ?

Ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea - consisted of a few pumps of sweetener with tea poured over it. Not a real issue there but a lid was thrown over it and it wasn't mixed, the issue lies in the use of a very flimsy lid that constantly leaked from the sides of it from the moment it was handed to me. I definitely would have liked to see the standard sealed plastic lid on my drink for authenticity. Drink taste and flavor overall was soso, but the boba was decent. Paid $7.5 pre tip for the drink - Not the worst but a little high. Looking at the selections in the area, probably a good chance that it is one of the better options in the area. Didn't try food, maybe that is a better option here.

Unfortunately there's nothing authentic about this place. The boba was decent but the tea portion was to be desired.I ordered the dirty milk tea and husband got the brown sugar milk tea, both with light ice and still taste diluted. The price was above average for the portion, especially since it didn't taste very good. The atmosphere was nice and clean.

I highly recommend this place, a must go-to place for boba lovers. We picked 3 different flavors and they are all good. The following are my favorite about this place:1. Atmosphere - I love the ambience of the cafe.2. Menu options - They have snacks and with drinks I particularly appreciate the caffeine free option for kids.3. The option of cup sizes, I love that I am not stuck to big cup of boba. They have 8oz, 16oz and I forgot the last one. They have 3 options.

Delicious food and really sweet staff. You do have to get in early for the bao and spring onion pancake. We tried the pork belly box with vegan dumpling, takoyaki, and bbq pork buns. If you aren't in a tea mood the Galaxy Lemonade is top tier and the Milky Way (Thai tea) is a classic! It would be amazing if they offered non-pork protein options but that would be a cherry on top of this gem. They also offer a pay it forward program, boba or dumpling home kits, and boba subscriptions. Please support and tip well ?

Where do I begin?!? Our experience with Devin and Cha Community who catered our daughter's wedding in Waco, Texas at the Palladium was absolutely wonderful! From our first contact to closing the doors after the reception: there are not enough stars!! Everything and everyone arrived on time! Set up seemed effortless and smooth. The food was delicious! We had dumplings, cold noodles, pork bellies, Gua bao, chick pea curry, and cucumber salad (soo many people loved the cucumber salad!!) ALL was OMG delicious! The servers were kind, pleasant and so helpful and Devin stayed to help and make sure everything went perfectly! We also used a Boba Tea Bar and it was truly enjoyed by all! I highly recommend using Cha Community to cater your next event! Thank you Davin and Jaja - you have done Waco proud!

im from southern california where they honestly have some of the greatest boba tea places (omomo...<3)and so when i moved here i was a little disappointed to see that there were only two boba places in waco. cha community has really impressed me though, and ive only been here once before but their boba tasted so fresh with amazing squishy texture and their matcha had a ton of strength unlike some places they serve you mostly milk with a sprinkle of matcha.needless to say, i am no longer disappointed and will thoroughly enjoy coming back :) (also they have amazinnng dumplings, and i am now eyeing their noodles and other fresh dishes)only thing i would suggest to them is maybe bringing in some creme brûlée textures/flavors into their drinks ;)UPDATE: the last 5 times ive gotten boba from here, the boba itself has been hard and not very chewy. sticks together in clumps and doesnt seem as fresh as before unfortunately :/ i hope they can fix this!

I’ve had a couple of cha lunch takeouts recently and the were great. The Veggie dumplings rock. And the boba drinks are really refreshing.
