Good home cooking in the heart of downtown waxahachie.The old style Cafe near the Court house gives you a great menu of breakfast and lunch items.The price for the amount of food was not too steep that your wallet would cry.Everything is cooked on order and always fresh. This place has a lot of history in it walls and if you sit and listen, you will get lost in the time before.I truly recommend this restaurant. Its a good place for a breakfast meet or a quick bite as you tour downtown.

It was raining cats and dogs so we pulled off the expressway and decided we would eat where we found close parking. This was perfect. I had the daily special with purple hulls, a Southern pea I'd never had before. Hubby got a burger and fries. All were good. The restroom is a little scary but necessary for travellers.
Quaint little Cafe, southern comfort foods and tasted great. I recommend the French toast it will not disappoint you! Loved the atmosphere and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Great home cooking, best hamburger steak I have ever ate. Great service. Really nice people. This is a hidden jewel. Homemade pie is the best you will ever eat. Give this place a try and I promise you , you will make it your favorite place to eat.
