Service was slow, food was decent, chips and salsa were great, location details are poor. Took a guess on where the restaurant is located and got lucky. Not many customers and lack of knowing about this place is probably a reason for it. Seemed like only one cook was working because of how slow it was to receiving our food. Man sitting at the entrance the entire time our family ate, which was right next to one another. Very awkward to have someone sitting so close to us while trying to enjoy a family dinner. Also, it would have been nice for the man to of helped the other staff, such as the cook(s). I really wanted to like this place but probably won't be going back.

Nice quaint & quiet Mexican Food restaurant located inside the historic Rogers hotel located in downtown Waxahachie, Texas. The food and service were great! The atmosphere is good.Their chips and salsa vere good. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce, and it was really good. The overall experience was great. Parking was not an issue at all. Go and give these folks a try. It's a nice alternative to the mainstay Tex-Mex.Parking: Hotel parking in the back. Easy in and easy out.

Best enchiladas in Waxahachie! Seriously. After living in New Mexico for years I have been craving a red chile sauce enchilada that matches the quality and taste of what I experience in Mew Mexico. I finally found it at El Encanto! The red sauce is home-made. The verde sauce is good as well! Chips and salsa are great. And the owners are awesome! Great addition to downtown Waxahachie and the Rogers Hotel!

Chips were phenomenal. Enjoyed the Salas a bean dip. We ordered Queso Blanco it was really good. My hubby and I shared the combo fajitas. I did not like the taste of the beef the chicken was better.Service and wait time we're not great but we chalked that up to it being newly opened and they are working out the kinks. I had 2 FREE small margaritas...strawberry was frozen and ok. Watermelon was on the rocks and I preferred it to the strawberry.For 2 people plus tip we paid $26.Not too bad!
I had the fajita tacos with green salsa and they give you chips and hot sauce with a small bowl of refried beans with chorizo which is soooo good. Homemade flour tortillas too! Great place.
